Depends on the industry/roles/seniority. Is there a sourcing layer? A coordinator? For financial services (typically client service is important) it’s always been 15 reqs as the industry standard. If you’re staffing a warehouse or entry level roles you can certainly do more.
I was thinking 15 should be max as well, especially as the team runs very lean. Thank you!
I think if they are all niche, hard to fill, probably 10-15, though more high volume for say, multiple req.’s of the same type can easily get up to 35+.
Agree! I think if they are niche and unique profile 10 is a sweet spot, if you have niche roles but similar or same job profile - 15 is good. When you go much higher than that I feel we lose the ability to effectively network, nurture our pipeline, provide stellar candidate experience etc. That's the ideal - I'm curious what other Corporate Recruiters are actually managing currently? I'm at 20 or more for the past year or so!
25-35
It varies. If there is overlap (ex: 10 remote programmers), then your sourcing efforts will apply to all overlapping positions. If there is no overlap, the req amount needs to be lower because you have no economies of scale
