Incoming audit associate at KPMG here. I'm graduating with my 150 in December and I'm guessing winter folks start around January?

Major scandal at PwC in Norway: A former associate, who was harassed and abused by colleagues with no reactions from management, has made a public webpage with all details as a last resort.
In Norwegian with an English summary, but I understood it all with Google translate.

Am so done with this job today 😭
Yes winter hires start in January. I think first/second week typically.
Doubt the firm would rescind offers as that's a bad look.
Firm is unofficially trying to get people in at least 2-3 times a week but I think it also will vary some by teams.
Thanks so much! Yeah, I figured there would be attempts to get people back into the office, so I've already started talking to a potential landlord who's pretty new grad-friendly and has some cheap, tiny units in the area that can take December move-ins. Wardrobe feels pretty squared away bc I stocked up at a thredup sale recently. Will prob pack it for Lakehouse, along with some casual options.
They need more associates. Too many seniors have left and may leave before the year ends. So unless your location overhired people, I highly doubt it
@kpmg 4 Yeah, it's actually gotten safer since then tho (and the PR issues mean that it's still possible to get a little apartment in a nice area for <$1500).
Started in January mid-pandemic. They tried moving offer to August, but I just talked to the recruiter and they kept it in the winter. So if that happens just communicate with your point of contact.
Right, guess it's a good thing that I've been doing minor things to get on good terms with my recruiter, like introducing her to my uni's investment group. Definitely had this kind of potential move in the back of my head bc it nearly happened to a classmate, unfortunately.
It’s ok they’re still desperate for audit but just not as much as before
