If I used to work somewhere as an intern and now a few years later want to apply for a job, is it bad form to message the ACD who I was close to while working there to let them know I’m interested? I don’t want to come off like I want them to give me a job just because they know me, but I also wouldn’t mind getting my application to the top of the pile?

I started as an intern then offered a full time job of £18k salary. In a year I’ve impacted this company so much and ensure to land & secure 2 big clients and more.

I think my analyst is going to quit. I thought they were crushing the game: great work ethic and product, good attitude and sense of (slightly cynical) humor, one of our best analysts. Turns out all smiles and good attitude wasn’t working for them. Feel terrible about it. One for the analyst, two for our team, three that I had any part in it.
Part of me says suck it up. The other - prevailing - part is super concerned. So, check in on your juniors at a real level. The kids are not okay.

Hi all, I’m currently on a new team and volunteered for a project for a few weeks ago. My health has taken a turn as I’m 26 weeks pregnant and I’ve been diagnosed with gestational diabetes and severe anemia, which require weekly 3-4 hour iron infusions at the hospital.
