I have tried to make this so many times, however, mine doesn’t taste close to what I had in India. Can you share your recipe please?

Happy holidays to you and yours as-well!

Looking for recommendations for whiskeys available in Montana. I (from CA) am planning a "whiskeys of the world" tasting in MT for my brother's birthday. I would like to offer whiskeys that the attendees can find in Montana and that are relatively affordable, and I know distribution contracts are pretty state specific. (E.g., Teeling is hard to find in MT).

Please share your recs for your favorite whiskeys (particularly Irish and Japanese) in the $40-50 range that you've seen available in MT.

Hey Humans. I was checking a video from donut media and they started to talk about how weird is the movie CARS from pixar.
Some open Q: Why did the cars have doors, if there were no humans? Why are sidewalks, if its a car's world? Isnt strange that all hangars are filled with car parts?... is like having all the viscera and bones of your friends around.
Any other people around got hit by these realizations?

Currently not a resident of CA, but will be in September. Accepted an in house job based in CA (will be remote until then). CA bar website says I must be a CA resident to waive into the in house program. I called the office and was told I don’t have to be a CA resident.

Can anyone provide insight on whether I have to be a CA resident to waive into the CA bar as in house counsel? Planning to sit for one of the next 2 administrations of the bar, but would like to have this until then. TIA!

Is carbon steel supposed to look like this? I’ve seasoned, reseasoned, wash with mild soap and water, dry it over the stove, avoid cooking acidic foods in it and it still looks like this. It used to be way blotchy before but it has gotten darker on the bottom and has gradually moved its way up.

I don’t know if I’m doing it right. I’m used to the black patina of cast iron.
