What does everyone want to do after consulting? Role/company to make it interesting, not "industry".
Exit opportunities - what are yours?
I used to be proud of working for this company but the last couple months have proved that politics instead of hard work leads to promotions here. It's time for an exit strategy.
How long should I wait before applying to other firms? Started this past September as an analyst out of undergrad and haven't been staffed yet. At this point, I'm considering my exit opportunities.
It doesn't seem right to me that companies will double referral bonus when hiring minorities. Am I the only one or am I missing something here? See link in comments.
If any one is flying into ORD right now, avoid taking a cab from the airport. Car accident at the exit of arrivals. I've been in a taxi for 20 min and haven't left the airport. Take the train.
At what level/years is it best to cross out of consulting? For both "equal" salary and expected experience (exit perspective). It's becoming apparent that this lifestyle is just not for me.
How easy is it to change industries? I've been in oil & gas for 3 years but I don't want my exit opportunities to be limited to that industry only as I don't particularly enjoy it.
Have you found your inspiring role model in the firm, the one whom you look up to? By saying that, I am referring to someone who's technically strong, cares ppl, and knows how to handle the client.
I hate it when I gain 10 lbs for the role then I realize I'm not even an actor, I'm just a consultant.
Does leaving consulting for a competitive industry Strategy role increase chances of acceptance at Top 5 MBA? Wondering because I feel like adcoms see too many apps from consultants.
Is a public accounting without a busy season possible? (I.e. Can a firm make money and stay competitive while hiring enough talent that only works 40 hours a week all year round?)
Forbes article that said one of the top hiring firms of MBA graduates which cost $168k is Deloitte. I was asked to interview for an experience hire job but never went to a top school. Is it worth it?
Hypothetically what sort of roles do you think a consultant could exit into at a pro sports team? Man, even doing corporate finance there would be so cool 😪
Thoughts on taking a greenhouse fellowship role at Deloitte? Do you think it would derail promotion?
In bar: she: dude, I am ready to get screwed anywhere anytime 27#7 I don't care about the place or time., position. How about that !? Eh !! He: are you kidding me? I am in consulting too !!
Reading the PwC comments on this is like watching the opening scene of Saving Private Ryan. It's a blood bath.
