India is part of global entry?

Global entry for Indian passport holders was first announced last June 2016. It didn't really move forward. Three days ago the White House formally welcomed India into the Global Entry Program. The work formally leads us to believe CBP will now start detailing how that will work. Usually the roll out is limited to a select few Indian nationals before they roll it out to all eligible (whatever threshold they use for the criteria: e.g. H1B/L1 holders amongst others). I'd say it'll take at least another year or two before the average Indian citizen in the US will be able to avail of this.
Of course, green card holders regardless of their citizenship are eligible for Global Countries - which has always been the case.

How is India qualified for global entry? We need to tighten this thing up

Just submitted my application.. as per GOES FAQ, it takes 4-6 weeks for application review and decision..I will keep you posted once I get approval/rejection message..

Way to be a douche A1.

I submitted my application and got an email from Passport seva kendra to fill yet another form. There was no provision to give a non-Indian address. It looked like I have to go to a passport seva Kendra to finish this process. My $100 probably is going to waste. Am I doing this right?

Hey everyone! Did you notice the CBP website makes no reference to a background check from India? They updated the procedures for Indians and it doesn't mention anything that the Indian Government needs to do. For U.K. And Switzerland it specifically mentions the steps to complete background checks with the respective countries. Is there a chance CBP doesn't care for the Indian background check by the Passport Seva/Regional Passport Office?

I am going to when I find out more info on how to do it

No news on the CBP website yet ..

CBP website has not been updated.. it was in news in majority of Indian news portal.. and today THe point guy confirmed and published an article on it

Have a colleague who successfully got it. I'm sure the longest part is scheduling/waiting for your interview.

Dd1, is your colleague an Indian?

Yes - No green card yet either

Wow that's awesome. Wish there was clear direction on how to apply.

Where did you find the application?

Thanks, OP. Do you have to be in India to complete the verification?

@EY3 No

What was the Rs.500 Biometric part that was being discussed earlier in this chain? I noticed how some countries require a police verification from their home countries prior to filling out the GOES application. Hoping that isn't the case for Indians - I don't want to lose the $100 lol

I have submitted my application yesterday.. I will ETL you know in 4-6 weeks

Help & suggestions please. I don’t have parents and recently had a kid. I am having trouble in recovery and my daughter is a preemie. I am going back to work in December but can’t send kid to daycare due to health. My aunt who raised me wants to visit and help me out , see places too. With the travel ban going away , can she get a visitor visa so that I have someone reliable in the house along with the new nanny. Are visitor visas possible to get now ? MIL is another option but she is aged.

Anyone seen a copy of the bill yet?

First year here as a general staff accountant. Midsize.

Been asking scheduling for work but only managed to get 10 hours of billable work last week doing a couple 1040s... I also ask around yet everyone says they’re fine. It’s still considered busy season here since I’m at midsize and it feels wrong not hitting atleast 40 billable hours. It would suck if I got laid off cause of it. 🥴

Any H-1Bs had to utilize the 60 day grace period? And if yes, when you found a new job, were you only able to start after you had approval? How long did that take without premium processing?

I have 27 more days🤬🤮😭😡💩

Just found out today that the firm is newly implementing a mid-year review for myself and another associate. Many things have happened recently and I’m very dissatisfied with the firm. How honest should I be about things- ie lack of mentorship, partner’s behavior, someone potentially padding bills- or should I keep my head down and just stay quiet- keep looking for other work?

How to avoid immediate staffing after completing the one project?
Somebody advice on this please.
I literally need 1-2 weeks bench/off time.

Why would a current employer do a background check on you? Just received one in the mail and am confused

Hello can anyone help with referral for HCL nagpur. looking for Service delivery manager or change release management role for my father. Any leads would be appreciated!

Husband looking for work. Anyone knows companies willing to enter H1B lottery in March for work to start in Oct. Context: not in school, dual degree US MBA/MPP

CSR vs Amex Platinum; what’s better for someone who uses the CSR currently to book economy travel? Any availability differences? Should I move over to Amex Platinum at 5x?

Offered dream job in another city, with $90k raise. But wife is in grad school for another 15 months. Long distance for that long sounds shit, anyone successfully managed it?

Mini rant: I did three rounds of interviews and conducted a case study for a startup medium sized company just for me to get rejected by them essentially stating that they felt like I did not have enough experience in the role but that I had been the only one to do a great job on the case study. These multiple interview rounds need to stop. I thought it was pretty ridiculous.

Said no to Apple to join consulting. Been a year now and I keep thinking how life would've been, if I chose the other way.

I’ve been sitting here the last couple days just staring at my computer. Nothing to do. Had an audit fall through this week and requested additional work. Nobody has anything. What should I be doing?

A year into a promotion without a raise to match. I've tried everything short of going full-Karen on HR. Other than the principle of the matter, I don't want to leave. Has anyone else has success navigating this BS? Is anyone else still hearing Covid as an excuse to raise freezes?

Do we think the creatives at GUT right now are thinking about turning a Burger King Whopper into an NFT? I'd bet Crypto on it.

Has anyone used HM Bradley?

I’m sure this has been asked in this bowl a million times, but - backpack or purse? My beloved Longchamp bag finally bit the dust and it’s time to upgrade (ctd.)

Thinking of trying for our first but how do you handle travel and childcare afterwards? SO works near home but seems like a lot to leave for 3 nights, no family around..remote/local roles only?
