Check out the last long term period of stagflation. Property prices lagged behind most other goods in price appreciation.

Value will simply falter in a high interest rate environment. You better hope you don’t get Paul Volckered to 10%+ rates.

If you need money in 1 to 3 years, maybe not.

In 3 to 7 years, you should be fine.

If you have a 3% mortgage, inflation is good.

It depends - monthly costs of ownership will also rise - specifically energy, possible debt service if you have an arm, maintenance costs etc

With budget around 30K if buy would prob go used Toyota Highlander Hybrid. If lease open to a lot of other options. Any advice?

I recently joined citi. I have been given choice for to select superannuation as 13% of BS or 12500/- monthly or zero.

This is one time selection and not reversible.

I am already investing 1.5 lakh in 80C through SIP and EPF.

I need more detail about superannuation and is it beneficial or not?

Also is there any retirement age in IT field 🤔 (or in citi)?

Just found out that a friend of mine and his wife somehow convinced his parents to pay for the the 20% down payment on their $500k house purchase recently. They both work dead end 9-5 industry jobs and don’t aspire to do anything more. The parents have never been super wealthy and I’m guessing this took a chunk of their retirement that they won’t get back. My friend continues to brag about the house to our other friends and even talks down to the ones that rent. Can I call him out on it?

Still, I was wondering

b. Will they get back to me for re- negotiation or just never bother?
c. Minimum CTC, I make the switch?
d. CTC range BA 4 generally have?

At what pt in the transaction is the furniture for a home sold/moved? Had a buyer walk the day before closing so a bit paranoid about this time around. With the last buyer, they were going inherit the furniture so this wasn’t an issue, but the new buyer does not want it so trying to have them allow me to sell it (for 2-3 days) after closing day so I’m not shit out of luck. The property is an airbnb, so if i sell everything and this new buyer walks, I’m screwed as i’ll have to pay $3400 a month.

I have over 12 years in B2B sales/sales management experience along with a graduate degree. I am wanting to shift gears and I am at a point where I can invest time in myself to learn through practical experience. The new industry I am wanting to pursue is real estate investment. I have read all the books but want some hands on experience on the property management side. How could I best leverage my skills for a role in this, and what should my expectations be for negotiation in compensation?

Thinking of dipping my toes into real estate and wanted to see if anyone has any books/ podcasts/ courses or even any tips or advice that you wish you had when you got started?

Goal is to diversify my investments past the stock market. Any help is appreciated!
