Does anyone work for Hanover insurance ?
KPMG I cleared all the rounds of my interview with KPMG and was asked to provide necessary documents and fill a CAF form a week back and had a HR discussion too. I have requested for about 3Lakhs additional fixed pay since my current CTC has increased and HR said she will get back on this. It's been a week and haven't heard back on the offer letter. How long do you think I should wait. Please wait.

Can anyone give insight into CBIZ MHM for audit?
This is my first time working with a client using the COSO framework. Before elevating my inquiry to my seniors, I would like to confirm my understanding of how this exercise works.
Prior working papers are telling me that client should establish its compliance with the five components of the framework, correct? How rigid should I be in performing this?
To be fair, I was provided with a reading material but it’s a pretty hefty read.
Thanks for any responses!

Accounting firms are one of the few places left that are a meritocracy. Either throw yourself into an honest evaluation of your value, or admit that you aren’t as important as you think you should be. And everyone else agrees.
Don’t disagree that small/boutique will naturally lend itself to being closer to a meritocracy. Your impact is easier to monitor and results of your actions are direct. I think you might find banks less meritocratic along with many other large companies.
The number of kool-aid drinkers in this thread is astounding
It’s strange, almost suspicious. On this app there’s always a lot of kool-aid drinks that are quick to jump on these kinds of threads, but on my actual team and amongst my colleagues (even amongst PPMDs), almost nobody drinks it. Makes me wonder 🤔
Instead you could quit and make TikTok videos
No. No we should not.
The entitlement omg
Where are we meeting?? I’ll bring extra masks on my way from the office. Oh also can we make it after midnight? Have an audit to finish…
This post… yikes…
The upside: the responses putting the original poster in check
If we are all educated enough to get a job in Public Accounting, we all have the ability and choice to find another career path. I’m with you that the model needs to change, but as long as people keep signing up for the current hours and pay, firms will not change.
OP is so Gen Z

Maybe someone should ask OSHA to mandate limitations of hours.
Not going to lie- I’ve fantasized about a “senior strike” for years. What would happen if all seniors sat on the bench for a week? 🤔
What would happen is that eventually the strike would end, deadlines will still be in place, and they'll only return to even more pressure!
So down
A strike is only going to work if a large enough percentage of staff/seniors (and perhaps even managers) take part of it. I could see a firm firing 10-20% of an office’s people without hesitation if they were to go on strike
Good point 👍🏻
Exactly, talk about not getting it. Talk less, be impressive more.
Lololol oh boy
Won’t happen. Most people in PA are masochists

As a non-audit consultant, are there any legal requirements that audits take place in the US? Is this something that can be technically outsourced?
