This might not be quite the answer you’re looking for but thought I’d add my experience - I’m pretty much down to just washing my face with water in the mornings/evenings, cleanser if I feel like it (Klavuu Pearlisation foaming face wash) and moisturizing (FAB ultra repair cream) and my skin has never looked better. Prior to this I was using at least 6-10 products (mix of Korean/The Ordinary) including HA acid, glycolic acid, serum, toner, etc. and my skin was fine but not as glowy and soft as it is now. Initially I just stopped because I was lazy, but after seeing these results I don’t think I’ll go back to that intense skincare regimen again as long as my skin can keep this up lol.

Do you think it was this or is it the sleep? I’m sleeping so much and less stressed, so my skin is glowing!
Mine have been basically 5 days straight of strict routine followed by 3 days of depressed falling asleep without doing my nighttime routine. I’ve definitely bought more skin care products, though.
And occasionally
- after I shower I’ll occasionally add in curl defining leave in conditioners and creams, then I’ll diffuse my hair just for the hell of it
- once every 3-4 weeks I’ve been straightening my hair just for the hell of it
Otherwise, hair is left natural down, in a ponytail, bun, or messy braid. Thank god for audio-only conference calls

I have now added in oil cleansing into my routine (shoutout to the Goldenrx on YouTube). The texture on my skin has been looking better and I’ve only been doing it for 4 days. Also my Sephora package has finally arrived so I’ll now be using a hyaluronic acid. I also have a new SPF on the way.
Quarantine will not stop my skin from flourishing lol.
Oil cleansing is a game changer!

Cerave PM Moisturizer and sunscreen. Thinking about adding retinol to my skincare regimen but kind of scared to start.

Why scared?
Coconut oil and honey hair mask- soft shiny hair!
For hair care I alternate between using Olaplex #3 before conditioning or a mix of coconut oil, caster oil, tea tree oil, and rosemary oil.
For AM skincare I use the CeraVe Foaming Gel Cleanser, witch hazel, the Ordinary High Strength Vitamin and Mineral Blemish Formula, as well as the CeraVe Eye Repair Cream.
PM skincare is similar. The only changes are that I swap the Ordinary Blemish Formula for the Ordinary Mandelic Acid and add Bio Oil to my routine. If I’m wearing makeup I remove it with the Palmers Cocoa Butter Facial Cleansing oil ✨
My skin care hasn’t really changed, the only make up I wore was a cc. For hair, I’ve cut down to washing once a week. I’ll rinse every other day or if I work out, but no shampoo. My hair is softer than it’s ever been, and it build less oil on a daily basis.
