I have an excellent resume as a corporate attorney, have great references and experience, am a likeable person but am in the process of being laid off due to COVID. What are my prospects of finding a job once the firm cuts me loose? Any tips for how to best position myself? I am very flexible about what type of job I will take and salary. My only hard no is working long hours at a sweatshop.

Do any of your companies planning for layoffs and you knew it as official/unofficial ?

Got laid off. Have savings to hold me until I find a new position but mostly I'm just embarrassed. Has anyone ever gotten laid off and not told their friends/partner about it? I just don't want people in my circle to know I failed basically.

New concept: firm that pays well above market and manageable equity partnership track but every month the lowest biller of each practice group is automatically fired.

I have received an offer from Deloitte for ‘Project Delivery Senior Anlyst’ position on some technology preferred provider program. It is hire in advance , that means I should get project ‘after joining’.

I have heard PDM is like contract worker, you can get laid off once project ends(just 2 weeks bench). How true is that/how risky it is to join PDM?(considering I am in US on H1B)

Hey, I need some advice. I was put on a 90 PIP, and I’m 60 days in. I feel like I been following all the guidelines and have stepped up my performance. Recently though my manager’s manager set up a “skip level meeting” 5 days after my pip ends. I’m worried I’m getting fired, any thoughts?

Has anyone been fired and then subsequently received unemployment? I was let go this week and am wondering if that is realistic to expect. Thanks!

Does Accenture strategy (Capability network) India lay off folks every year ?

Recently laid off from a top 10 firm in LA after 7 years in PA. I’d been with the firm since college but now not sure whether i want to try and get back to PA or pivot to private or something else. Really trying to figure out my plan but feel so negative towards everything job-related. any suggestions where to begin? I need to find something I semi-enjoy since It’s unlikely I’ll marry a rich husband or win the lottery before my savings runs out.

What made you get fired?

I was very successful as an internaional sales exec at a startup for 15 years before we were bought by a large publicly traded company. The culture shift was dramatic, as was the way that I was expected to work. I was laid off a tortuous 3 years after the buyout.

While I was in some ways relieved (put me out of my misery!) I spiralled pretty hard and after a while started working PT jobs, gig type stuff, etc. while I figured things out, and healed from burnout.

I got offer from IBM in my home location itself, with 18.5LPA fixed for 9 yea in automation testing. Here my manger is confusing me like layoff will after u join in IBM.. but I am in cts as 11.2 only .. but now I got SA promotion with 10 % hike .. and also no retnation for me also not there whether I can choose IBM or stay here .. kindly help guys .

Currently interviewing for Sr. Strategy & Planning Manager at Cisco. With ~8 YOE what sort of compensation can I expect with the role being remote? I live in the South, so I'm assuming the offer would be somewhat based on geography and less $ than in a HCOL city like SF and NY, but would like some insight if anyone can offer it.

I was affected by layoffs about a month ago and urgently looking for a good immigration lawyer. The lawyer should be experienced in handling this 60 day grace period situation and developing alternate strategies - such as change of status to B1/B2 or applying to jobs from India. Hi everyone. I was a solution engineer at Oracle. I graduated from college in May and this was my first job out of college so the lay offs were pretty rough. I majored in Supply chain management and I have 2 internships under my belt. Do you guys have any advice or tips on what to do moving forward?
