He is doing something about covid. He's waiting for it to disappear. One day he will be right
So he tested positive days before the debate. Then miraculously tested negative. Then days after, he tested positive again and ended up in the hospital. After the fact, in his town hall with Savannah Guthrie, he said he never tested positive until *after* the debate. I’m sure it was all totally above board… and naturally, Trump says Meadow’s claim is fake news. https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2021/dec/01/trump-tested-positive-covid-before-biden-debate-chief-staff-mark-meadows-book
My friend has Covid and is all alone. I’d love some suggestions of good care packages I can send her!
Stock market looking great. Unemployment numbers improving already with so many states still waiting to open. Hope we can rebuild our great economy and bring it back to pre-covid numbers soon🙏
If a kid is born in your country, grew up there, and later became famous in other country, you don't necessarily have to take credit for it. Be humble. Ever seen China taking credit for the coronavirus thing?
Got an appointment with a dentist / orthodontist today but have been second guessing going due to General Covid concerns. Anyone felt similar or have advice?
I understand that weddings are hard to plan and it’s hard to plan anything right now with COVID, but you telling me you think I’m going to go to your wedding just because it’s family and you think my 1 year old daughter will be there is freaking insane.....gosh I wish I could just tell her that we won’t be going but it’s my husband’s family and I’m done intervening. He gets to tell them in a month or so if it’s still bad
We are all having such a tough day over here. Kids are super emotional, hubby and I didn’t sleep well last night, and this whole Covid thing is sucking the life out of all of us. Hugs to all of you out there feeling the same way.
FTM here and I need to get opinions. I’m back at work remote but in desperate need of childcare. With my husband and I working from home…it’s so crazy trying to manage a 6 month old. So the question is…do you think it’s better to have a nanny or daycare. I want my son to be socialized as much as possible…but then COVID. I am also seeing that nannies are umm kinda pricey too for a long term bid. So just trying to see the general consensus
Due to COVID, Deloitte in Australia just announced 20% pay cuts, still working 5 days a week, and no promotions till January 2021. What would you do, what’s the options?
So, apparently my school has the lowest teacher attendance this year. As teachers- what would be a good incentive to get perfect attendance and not use your PTO?
Aight holiday gifts/tips for staff (mainly my PA) - I had heard as junior that it’s $100 per class year, so for example if ur a 3rd year it’s $300 to your PA. Is that the norm for your firm too, and same rule all the way up to senior year (so 6th year is $600…?) I love my PA but this year with WFH I really did not give her any work, but also we all get paid more what with covid bonuses so it seems extra grinch to not pay out. What’s your plan?
COVID WFH: Maama or Maami Thaligai?
Not in busy season right now but slammed with a ton of work for a month end deliverable. Team is working super long days and everyone on my team (at least associates/seniors) is feeling super burnt out and morale is super low ☹️ any tips on how to increase team morale? I know it’s hard for most people right now as we come up on the 1 year mark of covid lockdown in the US.
(this is not about your opinion on mask-wearing. I frankly dgaf) I was at the doctor's office today and one receptionist was not wearing a mask. The other was wearing one improperly. I struggled to even go to the Dr. In the first place because I have a non-COVID related illness and being exposed to COVID would likely make me extremely ill. Is there someone I can report this to? I get that wearing a mask at your office job sucks, but I feel betrayed.
Google is providing all US-based employees weekly COVID tests by mail using bioiQ. Any consulting firms out there doing the same? Seems like a great perk.
Even without covid, it seems like jobs are getting harder and harder to find. Why is this?
So I had a some friends who went to Cabo, and when they returned they all(7) took the covid test and came back positive. 5 days later, no one was showing any symptoms so they all went to another clinic and they took the test and they all tested negative. Don’t get me wrong, I wear a mask and take precautions, but when you hear stories like this, you wonder how much of these reported numbers are manipulated or incorrect.
How long is it typical to be an AE before getting a promotion or becoming an Account Supervisor or Senior AE?
I wish Ad salaries were like NBA salaries. Each year you get a ridiculous raise no matter how shitty you perform. If you are good you get bird rights and no layoff clauses. And retire at 35.
Hey SF @salesforce folks 👋 wondering if anyone can weigh in on an offer I received for Bay Area and whether I can/should push for more. Role is senior manager in biz ops/strategy. 190k base, $65k RSUs over 4 years, bonus non-negotiable at 15% and no sign-on bonus. Thanks in advance!
Those of you who have been fired in the past, what was the reason and was it a blessing I disguise?
Hi everyone I attended interview at amazon at october ,on a loop interview of 4 rounds .my fourth one was scheduled but interviewer didnt turned up on the day i have been told it will be rescheduled but till i didnt get any update i have tried through mail and call no response ,so this means am out?
Making 100k base with 2.5 YOE as a .Net/Dynamics/Azure consultant in MCOL city. Want to move back to Seattle for a new role. What salary should I be aiming for?
Facebook level 5 program manager - is $400k TC doable? Been checking levels - seems a bit high but might be able to get something between $300 and 400? 10 yoe - coming from b4, 32 YO, manager level
Hi All, Currently i am having offer from JP Morgan, HDFC bank and Phillips Innovation Centre. Every one has offer a similar CTC with 1-1.5 Lakh difference. However HDFC has home loan benefits with subsidies rate of interest. Which one should i choose for better future hikes and variable pay
I got an offer of 26.5 lpa fixed from Capgemini. My yoe is 5 years and 4 months and tech stack is SAP SD functional consultant. How much can I expect as my in hand salary.
I’ve heard the recruiting strategy at lots of firms is changing from MBA to experienced hires and PHDs. I see that is true at MBB but what about Big 4 and smaller firms?
As I get into my 30s, I’ve noticed recruiters focusing more on maternity leave than anything else when I ask about benefits. I know that benefit is important to a lot of women, but as a child free person it kind of makes me uncomfortable that they are just almost assuming I want a baby because of my gender. Maybe just mention it instead of emphasizing it? It also makes me assume that companies might discriminate against me in the job process (which isn’t cool for anyone) over a man.
Best way to word a counter offer with a slight salary increase? I’d just like to round up to 80k, this would only be less than 10% more than the initial offer so nothing crazy. Do I need to make a case for the increase or can I just say I’d be more comfortable at 80k?
Is greater SEA area still crazy to buy a house or is market cooled down? Planning to move 2nd qtr next year and need an idea how much money we need. Family of 4 with 2 young kids, looking for min 1800-2000 sq ft home.
What’s the wlb/culture at firms outside MBB/Big 4? Been at Deloitte for a couple years and am ready for something different. Thinking OW, LEK, Kearney, or others you know of.
Is anyone else awful at completing their own annual reviews, but are expected to drive results for their organization? I'm sitting her at midnight literally racing the clock 🥴
