Insurance question. Planning to join KPMG, from EY, mid September. KPMG’s Aetna plan looks expensive compared to what I currently pay for a PPO at EY. Will me leaving my current company qualify as a life event and therefore can we join my husbands insurance off cycle?

I interviewed for an internal QA position. I had been regularly communicating with the Lead about the position for months. I thought the interview went well. It was w/ the QA Lead and the head of the department. I was sent rejection a week later. It’s disappointing. There was side conversation yesterday with another co-worker who ended up getting one of the two internal QA position. Would you say summaries are as effective for self help books like "the subtle art of giving a fk" and other similar books? I feel the books themselves ramble on too much on a side story only to tell a point that could be summed up in a couple sentences.
