Interested in buying a new toy. I don’t currently have a car or need one, but enjoy driving. I currently make about $120k (pre tax) w/ no debt and $3k monthly expenses. I may be moving into a role where I make closer to $180k.

3rd job rejection after I thought it went really well. I had really great interviews & good feedback on my portfolio. When I ask why I didn’t get the position the answer I keep getting is “decided to go with someone with more experience”. Which is so frustrating, bc it’s just not as constructive as I’d like. Just let go from a 40 hour per week consulting position where I learned they were paying other consultants 3-4x more per hour. They still really like my work, trust me, and want to work with me on an as-needed basis. I want to charge them an hourly rate similar to all the other consultants. Thoughts? Is this a reasonable course of action? And if so, how would I go about this to get the compensation I want?

I have been with my current company for the last 14 years. Straight commission position. Since 2013 hey have been trying to rebuild this store. Since working for them we’ve gone through 3 CFO’s and I am on my third BM who will being leaving the company only after a year. There is a new Area leader which is causing bad karma among the team. Reps, you have a client who you’ve had for less than a year. You’ve helped them secure a couple small jobs in that time span. They book a big job with an agency that isn’t a house account but certain producers and clients at that agency are noted as house accounts. The job came through a reco from one of those house account producers. Do you charge the full 25k commission, even though you didn’t really have a hand in the sale, and the client already had a strong relationship with the agency?

Thinking of gifting myself a used Panamera. 2017-2018, about 50k miles and for 50k $ (sample numbers, been looking at 4s). Any recommendations on the car (this is my first big car purchase of years of saving for family) but don’t want to burden myself with ridiculous maintenance bills. Any advice on getting salvage bids for a damaged car? Insurance has given me a $400 bid but I'm not required to accept it. Damage to the bumper, both front fenders and hood, engine and rest of the car is fine. I had just put in a new Bosch alternator that cost me $380 🤦‍♀️
