Are FAANGs on a hiring freeze for software engineers?

I am actively looking for PM opportunities. I
have 14YOE varying between Risk/Threat
Intelligence Management (Military) and
Project Management (Raytheon). Currently I'm a risk manager at Amazon (grossly underpaid). I am open for new opportunities.

I am possibly going into a cyber security role where I would be leading internal and external content. Thing is, my career has mainly been in fashion which I am trying to move away from, to get into the tech space. This is a great opportunity that will definitely teach me a lot and help get me further into tech. Problem: I’m scared. I’m scared I won’t enjoy it, scared I’ll be bored!!!, scared I’ll fail, scared I’d be making a mistake. Any advice? Has anyone pivoted like this? I want to be open.
