Interested in learning about transfer pricing. Is it more interesting? Similar to TAS work? What are the exit ops? Thoughts?

Transfer pricing is nothing like TAS. TAS is doing due diligence and working on business acquisitions. Transfer pricing is doing analysis over the pricing of internal transactions across borders for tax purposes. Exit opportunities within Transfer Procing would be extremely limited and pigeonholed to doing transfer pricing for companies.

Exit opportunities would be working for a large multi-national Corp doing their transfer pricing work😂

If you dislike accounting, auditing and taxes....and like writing and comparables and think BEPS will really happen, TP is for you. Exit opportunities? Alan Greenspan's old job.

Do I boomerang back to the Big4? I began my career with EY in their strategy consulting practice where I was promoted to Manager before leaving for industry where I've been the last 2 years. I was just offered a Manager level role with Deloitte at $175k base plus 31% bonus (max) plus a $10k signing bonus which is about 30% more than what I make now. Is this a good offer? I am struggling whether or not to get back into consulting because of the lack of work life balance. Tell me what to do!

I have an opportunity for a lateral move with better pay at a different company, however I’m trying to move away from the ops side of HR to a more strategic role. My current position may or may not be there for me any longer due to an acquisition. Should I consider taking the role anyway for job security or continue to search for a more strategic role? Thank you!

Curious for insight from others with similar experiences. I was at a national firm for 4 years, left due to burn out for a corporate accounting position, hated it. Came back to public at a regional firm, where I’ve been for just over a year. Im already getting burnt out again and doing WAY more than my salary should expect. A former director at my first firm recently reached out with an accounting manager position at an early phase VC firm. (Continued)

2 YOE and about to do my first interview with a competitor. I haven’t told my firm that I’m interviewing. Should I expect the interviewing firm to ask for a referral? I am worried that it would be awkward to ask a current manager to be a referral in this situation. Am I approaching this right?
