Interested in making the jump from industry to consulting, currently 3 YOE with full rev cycle experience with a large health org, mixed with some automation and strategy work. Any particular firms I should be eyeing and what level should I look to be hired at, C/SC, or other? Possibly ways to get my foot in the door, etc.

Appreciate any insights!

I have come to the realization that I have a fear of succeeding. Every time I am in a position to move up in a company or to learn something new, I instead begin to look at other jobs. I don’t know why I do it?

Is it wise to go to my company’s competitor for a promotion and risk burning a bridge?

For context, my small company was suddenly bought out by a large corp. I was about to get promoted to leadership but the new company doesn’t want to honor the title/salary increase we worked out. We only have one significant competitor in our industry, and it’s likely my best option. Love my company, been with them for years, but I’m really struggling with how frustrating this situation is.

I was recently offered a SDE3 position at a product company but I am currently confused what will I do after 2-3 yr when I will become SDE4?

Or would I need something like an additional degree to get my foot in the door? Any advice is welcome!

Hi, I’m a creative who has yet to break into the industry and I have concerns.

As I continue to finish up my portfolio and hunt for creative jobs in advertising, I cannot help but get a bit discouraged. I see and hear so many horror stories about being black in advertising and a lot of times it just seems like the risks are much greater than any reward from working in this industry. Am I wrong in thinking so? I need a job and to make a living, but at what cost? How do I work through this?

My boss just told me he'll stop paying for our Notion subscription because he sees no use. This is a guy who still requests you install Skype and won't use Slack like the rest of the team. We have Jira but nobody uses it either.

It's like working for an IT company that stood still in the 90s and never moved forward, though they brag about being high tech.

I want to cry. I need a new job. I've almost 20 years of PM experience and I'm reduced to this. I'm crying already.

After slowly climbing the ladders, I feel like I finally got a seat at the table. Half the days I like the hustle, but now I miss being creative. I want to take more brainstorming, decision making responsibilities but I don’t see that in the career path for PM. Career path usually goes like this- Sr PM, Director l, Sr Director, and so on. But all do same work.

Worried because of my salary at my current company I am pricing myself out of opportunities to move into a rep agency that could eventually give me the opportunity to buy into it. I’m currently almost topping out on my salary at current company with no opportunity to progress. Can make good money for a while here, but new challenge is interesting to me. Struggling accepting I may have to cut my salary 10k-20k in order to do that…

Cause I live in NYC I walk quite a bit and my lower body is pretty toned but would love to have more definition/strength in my arms, stomach. Thinking of getting a peloton will be pointless for my arms/upper body since that’s what I’d like to focus on. Advice?

I saw another similar post but the OP is an RN, and I didn’t know how much that information would apply to me as an LPN.
