A previous employer reached out and offered me a Senior Product Designer role with a 40% increase base salary. I am considering this, as I have been feeling under utilized at my current role + dealing with of uncertainty lately. But I would be forfeiting a lot of RSUs if I leave. I am in the middle of my vesting period (2/4 yrs), and this year alone would have 256 shares vesting (~$500 share price). The new role will come with shares, but at a small share price. Anyone had similar experience?

Has anyone recently gone back into banking? I am thinking about going back because of the increase in comp and opportunity to work at a top BB. I was a boutique ib analyst for 2 yrs and currently a LMM PE firm 1st year associate.

I’m currently a maxed out GS-15 Step 10. Masters degree is Electrical/Computer Engineering, but now a Program Manager for a high visibility area. I have 10 years to reach full retirement age (57). Why do I feel like I’m limiting myself? What would the pros and cons be of seeking private industry employment at this point? What would an equivalent salary be taking into account pension, etc? I have 5 years of experience in IT/Cybersecurity. I wanted to make a move to be a Security Sales Engineer, based on a job description and a hiring manager reaching out to me via LinkedIn. My advice: Concentrate on yourself above anything else, follow orders but also know how those orders affect you, serve your country but never forget you are serving yourself first. The objective is not to die honorably but to survive dutifully. What else would you add?

Got an offer from Microsoft to work as a Cloud Solution Architect in a Metro market but working remotely.

Quarterly Bonus: 15% Target
