Interesting bowl.

I've found ways to empower myself and make this more of a tool than liability - on most days.

Besides tech and wellness, what's one thing you do that helps?

Get enough sleep - or nap on my lunch hour when I need to. And sunshine. Helps my mood enormously.

Oh man do I value my sleep. It's basically a hobby at this point.

I like to socialize outside of work and learn from different people weekly. Also, I want to read at least 1 book per month. Those two things are small but help me!

Going for walks at the break of dawn. I've found that sunlights helps set my mood for the entire day. And reading self help books.

Nature strolls are the best! It refreshes my mind and spirit. I feel fulfilled whenever I am surrounded by trees, plants, nature basically.

Have a big interview tomorrow. The question I dread the most is about why you’re looking for a new job. The honest answer is that there isn’t enough work to go around at my agency and I want to get ahead of the inevitable layoffs. What’s the best way to tell them this? Do I just make something else up entirely?

Are any digital agencies forcing employees to return to the office yet, or has the industry, being digital-oriented, bucked the trend? Seeing an exodus from people at our clients (I'm on the agency side) where the company is forcing employees back, but the digital teams find the request irrelevant and are just leaving for fully-remote jobs.

How hard is everyone pushing their corporate clients to authorize nonresident assignees whose only 2020 US compensation was the value of their 2019 tax preparation?
My clients are pushing back on it this year, and I can't say I blame them. If I were in their shoes, I'd rather take the risk of not filing than the expense of filing again. From my own point of view, I don't really want to spend my time on such returns, either, even if the revenue and easy return are nice.

Hi Fishies!
I am in the process of negotiating an offer with a new company and I asked for a higher base but they came in saying i would be “at parity” with my peers. They did try to adjust the bonus so TC would be close to what I am looking for. However, the signon bonus is a bit lower than what I was hoping. How do you negotiate that and what do I say? Truth is, I am still a bit on the fence about the move. I really like my boss and my team and we have so many amazing (TBC below)

Any good ADHD psychiatrist in the Bay Area? My previous psychiatrist wasn’t a good fit

Long one - one of my best friends (10+ years) and I had a drink last week, I told her of my recent ADHD diagnosis and how we had noticed the generational trend (my mum & grandad as very similar symptoms wise and they acknowledge this, but not diagnosed). The friend mentioned her therapist has suggested she may had ADHD (inattentive type) - she then told me a few things like how she's absolutely neurotypical and she's never associated herself with neurodiversity etc, she made a ... I finished a book last week. It took me 4 hours to read about 300 pages. For avid readers that’s not much of an accomplish, but I haven’t been able to read in 10 years due to my ADHD. I’m so happy and hope I can pick up reading for good again 😊

I just found this bowl and I am really glad it exists. After a few years of managing my ADHD, the past few month have been really hard and I am suffering from anxiety for the first time since college because of it. Even just the few posts I have read have made me feel a little bit better.
