Starting the interview process with another company in industrials, and my current TC is ~$600k. Headhunter wants to chat about comp expectations - anyone have advice on how to approach? Is there a minimum bump people tend to shoot for before making the jump (e.g. 25%)? I don't know if this is the imposter syndrome talking, but as in house, I feel like I rarely *do* anything. I answer questions as they come up, review maybe 1-2 contracts a day, and manage a few litigation cases (primarily handled by outside counsel). Compared to my 300+ emails from clients a day that I would receive from my large firm job, I feel like I'm missing something? I'm the only attorney at my small company. I don't know if the workload at my previous firm skewed my perception.

I recently accepted an offer to join a company (A) . They started my H1-B transfer and I received today the approval notice for the transfer.

However, I accepted last week a (better) offer at another company (B) and they will start soon my H1-B transfer.

I attend to tell company (A) on Monday that I will not be joining them. Will there be any issue with company B filing for a H1-B transfer soon?

I honestly think the “silent majority” this November are going to be people like me that voted for Trump in 2016 but will end up being a big reason he is voted out of office this time around. Biggest reason for me is the absolute lack of leadership and accountability.

My close friend works for the mayor of my mask mandate city. We are both libs. I think the mandate was once good, is silly now. She just blew up at me when I asked for data to support their position. All I got was “I’m tired let’s talk tomorrow.” I’m disappointed she could not engage and support her opinion.
