Y’all are the same people that say “my associate doesn’t ask me questions and makes dumb mistakes” but roast the ones that do ask questions. smh

How to join a Skype meeting (intern had the "Join Skype Meeting" link on the screen literally right in front of them too), how to insert a bar graph into Excel... The better question is, what kinds of interesting things have you had to teach Partners/MDs. Had to teach my MD how to change line color from green to blue in Powerpoint once.

How to tell the associate you shouldnt be preparing a workpaper if it still contains the explanation “i dont get this difference, where does this come from”?

How to copy and paste using shortcuts. It blew my mind that the new hire didn’t know how. 🤣

SC1 - I expect new hires to come with excel experience. They taught me that in high school 10 years ago. Are you seriously telling me that we need to teach these people excel and basic computer functions? I can teach auditing but you better know how to operate a Computer, including Excel

I get that some schools don’t teach excel but there are certain things that you shouldn’t have to teach because it’s self explanatory and a few minutes of brain activity would allow the average person to learn on their own especially considering the millennial generation has grown up with technology.

I had to teach a new hire how to fold a paper into 3 sections...
