Does anyone know if the same 401k rules apply at EY as Accenture so they will cap the contributions coming for your check say if you hit the yearly limits in August? So if you hit the 22,500 in 23 there is no way to go over for tax issues. Thinking to frontload next year contributions if market is down. EY

I have a great intern on my team! He probably understood the project concepts and lingo far better than some full time employees who joined the same day. #rockingintern
Had an intern last summer who, on a 100 degree day, decided to take one of the team rental cars early to go meet friends who were in town. An hour later, one of us gets a call that she's having car trouble. We asked where she was, concerned she was on the side of a highway somewhere. She said she had never left the parking lot because the car never turned on. Turns out, she was in the parking lot for an hour trying to turn a car on, reason it hadn't turned on is because she wasn't pressing her foot on the break while turning it on.
My new intern doesn't know how to setup a meeting. She keeps putting the time on her calendar and magically expecting it to show up on mine too via wishful thinking.
PwC1, teach her then. None of us were born knowing how to use outlook.
Heard of an intern who wouldn't physically lock his computer at the client site after the client told him to lock it multiple times. When he left for lunch, the client got a cable lock and secured his computer to the desk and when he came back and found out, he started crying in front of the team and the client. I heard it got really awkward. 😂
Turned 21 on the project, team took her out to a bar. She got wasted and fell pulling an entire table with drinks down with her. Team immediately sent the first car/group of people to take her back to a hotel and assigned 2 female BA/Cs to keep an eye on her. Those two got her settled and went back to their rooms to change before returning to check on her - found puke all over the floor and her passed out on the ground. Panicked and called a M who was in a second car of people and who told ALL of them to come up and help - so they all came up and saw this poor girl sitting in the bathroom (now awake) and covered in puke. Even worse, on their way to the hotel, the second car of people told the 3rd car of people that they needed to go help this girl - so the third car of people kept showing up at her room with their free water bottles
Once had a mature looking intern who was 🔥(male) and client tried to hit on him several times and ask him for drinks...she didn't know he was an intern and was only 20 😂
I am, we're on take 3
Oh wait, never mind. That's just every consultant who ever lived
Intern drank from a coffee jar with wash liquid thinking it was blue soft drink!
Fell asleep on a very boring call. Not like I needed to be there anyway--I wasn't answering or asking questions. Pictures were taken, laughs were had
Intern today fell asleep on a call with a mentor explaining what he was going to do all summer.... A little scared for him
@pwc1 so we fire good people and get this in return for the summer? What a joke
On his first day on site, our intern missed his train and arrived an hour and a half late, showed up with a dead computer and no charger, and no notebook or writing utensil. 0/3!!!
Had an intern who wouldn't respond to my messages. I casually mentioned it to him over a team meal. He laughed at it and gave me some excuse. The next time he still didn't. I called him out in front of his coach. Now he got the message. Talking about giving the real time feedback and the recipient totally missed it.
My intern buddy had narcolepsy and used to fall asleep multiple times in our meetings. I had to frantically, subtly poke him awake quite often
HR puts out an email inviting everyone in the vertical to Promotion day. Intern replies all because he doesn't know how to put it in T&E.
Hahaha! ☝🏼Love the funny intern stories 😂. Don't like the ones where someone is making fun of interns not knowing things, like setting up meetings in outlook. Teach them! That's the reason they are there- to learn!
I've got another one. Had an intern (MBA intern at that) who we just couldn't figure out how to functionally get him to understand and complete a task. Finally, we gave up and just told him to plan a big cocktail hour and dinner for the large team (60ish) people because all of the PPDs were coming into town to celebrate us having completed one phase of work ahead of budget and selling another. He was told it should be *really* nice. After 2 days of this being his sole task - we ask him for his proposed venues and pricing. I shit you not, his only idea was to host it at the hotel that we stayed at. When we pointed out to him that there was no bar or kitchen at the hotel (it was an extended stay, no frills hotel) - he literally had zero response. It seriously didn't even occur to him as being an issue. Even if he had considered catering (which he hadn't) he still was proposing to do it at the fricken hotel that's lobby consisted of tile floor and a few plastic chairs / tables.
