Internal SOX auditor, yea or nay? salary wise, would pretty much be a lateral move. anyone have this type of role? what's it like? fun, boring, exciting, tedious?

Boring but you work 40 hours a week and it pays the bills. Some IA departments promote transferring into operations after awhile if you ever want out of auditing

I would stay away. The work gets repetitive and does not require a lot of critical thinking skills. I say this as someone who has done SOX and SOC1s. I have friends that love it though, it's just not for me.
