Nah. If you want to career change later in the game it may come with some sacrifice. Do what you see making you happier long term and don’t worry about it. This opportunity may or may not arise in the future.

No. If your manager was going to promote you and your new boss sees the same value you'll get the promotion, and if the promotion comes one year later you will live

Depends. I've done it twice and it was fine... Won't always go that way, some people I know stayed the same level for another year. But they ended up happier.

I’d get the promotion then transfer. You’ll have to build new relationships and prove to the new team you deserve to be promoted which could take more than the few months you’d be in it before promotions are decided.

Genuine question: For those who are promoted (S1s, M1s) and still planning to stay in big 4 audit after the shitty raise, what is your reason? Assuming you are not planning to become partner. Really curious

Got my year end rating yesterday and realized no matter how hard you work, you will likely end up with a 3. not worth slaving for an immaterial raise. one step closer to quitting ✌

I have friend in Accenture who came to the US on H1B 5-6 years ago. Their GC was filed in EB2 and recently after their promotion it was ported to EB1C. I always thought the international manager criteria needed 1 year in the preceding 3 years in a foreign country but in this case i know for a fact thats not true. Is there a loophole here or am I missing something?
