I am a QA/SDET with 8 YOE , good in building framework for UI and API Testing , right now working on improving coding (DSA) and AWS (SAA certification). I graduated with a degree in Business in 2018. I’m planning to pursue a Masters in Engineering (likely will pair with MBA) and have been taking the required pre-reqs over the last year from community college.

Is there a big difference between MEng and MS degrees? Or about the same?

I started off looking in going into Mechanical Eng but now looking more into Civil & Environmental.

Is anyone here willing to provide insight about job prospects between the two fields?

I was advised by job experts not to include any jobs over 15 years, but that will limit me to two jobs which do not reflect my scope of experiences. My supervisor has been including me in WFO roster since August, but neither did I go to office nor I cancelled the roster.

I interviewed at this company and everyone seemed to really like me and were moving a lightning speed. I then met the VP of finance and apparently he said they may needed someone with more experience but hiring manager thought I was a great fit . I didn’t hear anything for a few days and then last Thursday they asked me to submit my references, (Friday they called) Since then, it’s been a week and haven’t heard anything. I haven’t received an offer letter not a rejection email. Im so confused.

Anyone leave public for industry and then decide to go back to public? Been in industry for a short time, but I’m so bored.

Been in audit for a year now and really don’t like it. Find is so boring and brain rotting. I know audit and PA in general is definitely not for me. I’m not totally sure what I want to do next, maybe something in industry or financial analyst. Is leaving after a year too soon? Am I better sticking it out one more busy season?
