Internet.com says New Orleans is a town you can go solo and have a good time? True or false?

Good luck with that.

I had no problems alone there multiple times. It’s a blast

People are generally less friendly than other cities but it’s a fun place to explore alone

10/10 would not recommend NOLA alone, especially if you’re a woman. I was staffed there for 5 months and never went out alone. I once had a drunk guy approach me at 7:30am with brown paper bag in hand and comment on how “pretty that little ring” (my engagement ring) was while I was still standing by the hotel valet stand. Just one of many sketchy situations while I was there.

Not sure I would totally agree with this - lived there for 5 years as a single woman, stuff like this is no worse than any other big city. I don’t think it’s a particularly fun city to be in by yourself, unless you’re the kind of person who has no problem eating or going to bars alone, but sketchiness isn’t a problem I would be concerned with

Is it a red flag as a candidate to ask if a company offers maternity leave? I was recently laid off, so I wasn't expecting to lose my job. We're planning on trying for a baby in the next year or so, so it's really important to me that my next job offers paid maternity leave.

The issue is that it's so rarely advertised on company web sites, but ultimately better maternity leave would sway my decision for a job. Is there a way to ask this tactfully? Or without raising red flags?
