Always take the meeting.
Yes. Choose the best opportunity. It’s not kosher but agencies and ECDs do the same to us all the time. Just be mindful of the feelings of those who have hired you and gave you this current gig.
Where would you rather work? You can always tell either agency you’d love to work at their company, but couldn’t pass up this opportunity at xyz.
For the new company you can tell them that the company you interned at wants you and you have an amazing repoire (spell check) with the CD and want to see through a few projects you started there.
Or you tell the internship place that you just accepted an offer but if anything changes you’d like to stay in touch as “you never know”.
That way you don’t burn any bridges
Just communicate. Don’t burn a bridge. This is a small industry and hopefully you’ll have a long career
exactly
...that they now have a position open. Is it kosher to talk to them despite having accepted a position elsewhere?
Yeah. Your current job won’t appreciate it if you leave...but it’s your career. Gotta make the moves that benefit you long term.
wait what u accepted was an internship or full time job? Honestly it’s bad form to pull that. Best case no one remembers you later worst case they do & the door stays shut moving forward.
But what’s the alternative? Staying at a job they dislike for a few years out of loyalty? If you accept a job out of necessity and suddenly a portfolio-changing opportunity comes, you take it.
