Cleared first round and my on-site is next week. It just came to my notice something about visa sponsorship in JD. It states “This role is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.” I have H1B but I would need H1b transfer and GC sponsorship. Can anyone help me out here.
New media supervisor position opened up at Borders Perrin Norrander in PDX. Posting here in case anyone is interested! Can find the post on LinkedIn.
Can anyone please share the comp package of senior accountant/FA role at Amazon at Seattle for recent offers.
Does anyone know how 'case studies' are like for data science interviews (industry, not consulting)?
Been in IB ops for about ten years now in NYC and London. A start up from silicone valley called me up (7 hours of interview) to help design a margin system. Is tech better than banking?
I realized most of my anxiety or depression stems from a lack of career fulfillment. I recently started a new position and things were going great till they restructured my group and laid off a few on my team. Now I'm always looking over my shoulder and too concerned about screwing up. In the past, I have been laid off & I can't help reading too much in to every single email. My therapist made me aware of this but I'm looking for coping tools that someone in my situation has found useful. HELP!
Any scientists/engineers here? (Chemistry BSc/Chem Eng Masters personally) how did you cope with the business/finance lingo at first and dealing with feeling like a bit of an idiot for a while till it starts clicking I’m in this period at the moment... also for hiring would you possibly get looked over initially/are business/finance/econ grads preferred?
Hi everyone! I’m a young CPA, relocating to Raleigh. I made the decision to transition into sales after realizing that I want to bring more fun into my career. I’m currently reading sales books, watching Keenan’s YouTube channel, and learning all I can. I’m relentlessly applying for SDR positions but I’m having trouble landing interviews (been applying through LinkedIn). I would appreciate advice from anyone who transitioned from another industry into sales. How did you break the barrier?
I got an offer from Fujitsu for 22 LPA without much of negotiation. They said they don't have variable in their CTC. Am I missing something here? This has shocked me. The role is for an Architect for SAP warehousing Domain. YOE: 5 years.
This to Burnetters - so what's the role of the global President when the local CEO's don't report to you? When the global president has no say in the matters of any Burnett office in the world?
Getting past phone screens but can’t seem to get passed phone interview. I feel like I’m a good fit for the jobs, but I have no idea what I’m doing wrong. Any specific tips to work on interviewing?
I graduated in May 2020 and found myself excepting a Junior Art Director position in Healthcare. I never saw myself in health but with many agencies having hiring freezes I decided to get some experience and save up some money in the meantime. Fast forward one year; I’ve added a new campaign to my website and I’m starting to apply to consumer agencies again. Any tips to help me make the transition? Any place to avoid? Who have you noticed is hiring again? Thanks in advance :)
What resources do you recommend that focus on closing the deal regarding job interviewing? Going through all the rounds, but having trouble with final closure.
For strategists: Hardest interview question you’ve been asked. Go. (Please include your response!)
Hey, I have applied to a job at EY for Risk assurance. My academics are pretty good and I'm pursuing ACCA with BCom, with a year of internship experience as well. I have tried to apply but I think a referral would really help. Please dm me for referrals. Would be happy to speak on linkedin as well and send my job ID as well.
I am currently in industry, but was a Senior in Accounting Advisory, and before that an audit associate. I’m thinking of trying DDV at PwC as I’ve always been interested in M&A integration, but am unsure on carry over of skills and also would like to go somewhere I can be bumped to Manager as I was almost there prior to leaving industry. I know they are on a hiring spree so would coming in as a Manager be possible? I’ve previously been on M&A audit/AAS engagements.
First time in an accounting firm… Is it normal to want to quit after starting a couple months ago? 😂 About to start doing the bare minimum and hope I don’t get fired.
I'm actually glad my connection through DTW is late. It gives me time to grab a pizza at Bigalora... seriously one of the best pizzas I've ever had. Maybe I'm weird?
Looking at a cool role at Workday 👀. Anyone able to refer and give insight to your experience?
Has anybody made the switch from Big 4 consulting to MBB? What was the interview process like, and how did you prepare?
Health care is being rationed in several states. This is getting serious. This is definitely worth learning more about as hospital refuse critically ill patients who do not have covid. Emergency rooms are literally flooded, critically ill pts (w covid) wait hours on end in their car to get in to see a doctor. What a MESS https://www.adn.com/nation-world/2021/09/13/alabama-man-dies-after-being-rejected-by-43-hospitals-in-3-states-family-says-as-covid-packs-icus/ https://www.marketwatch.com/amp/story/alaska-joins-idaho-in-rationing-health-care-as-hospitals-are-packed-with-covid-patients-and-who-says-africa-is-being-left-behind-in-vaccine-push-11631717516 https://www.adn.com/alaska-news/2021/09/14/amid-covid-19-overload-providence-alaska-medical-center-now-prioritizing-care-under-crisis-standards/
Anyone exit to McDonalds in Chicago? I see a lot of MBB move there; wondering about the pay and WLB like for a manager role in their Digital Strategy Group
Have a offer from Deloitte (SAP Treasury) at Manager Level. Based out of NYC. Base- 170K, 15K Sign- on bonus. Not sure about the annual bonus yet. I have total 16 YOE and am very strong in this field. PS- I an independent consultant and was doing very well (way above the Deloitte offer) until Covid hit
Didn't get promoted and the more I think about it, the more upset I become. Had a good year, helped fill in gaps, took on roles to help lead internal initiatives, led/managed teams to success, and worked looonnnggg hours to the point of burnout. Leaders also know how much I was working. I didn't expect a promotion because I had low expectations for my firm, but I'm still pretty bitter. Should I ask why? Was I too naive and ended up giving too much? Or is this a reflection of my work/value?
Does anyone have insight about the culture of the higher ed practice at Accenture? Is it a good place to work? How is the team? What is the workload like?
At 27, 1st year sr associate, non mba masters and earning 105k. High col city. Underpaid? What are thr prospects of hitting 200k in a few years. Should I go get an mba?
Heading home from a fun agility lesson 😊😊
here's my prediction. If Biden wins, the media will begin to message the following; -The worst COVID risks and outcomes are to people with identifiable risk factors such as obesity and diabetes. -Most other people who catch it will experience a bad flu. -Many other people who catch it won't even know they have it. -It's not commonly transmitted by touching objects and person to person transmittal is low risk except in close contact. The media will then message that we should; (cont'd)
am I the only person who doesn't care for general 'consultant types'? I find this culture so foreignly pretentious, image-obsessed, and materialistic. I feel like I'm the only one.
What’s the main reason for the different targets for US/UK/EU offices of the same big law law firm? Pure culture differences or actually much busier on the American side of the Atlantic?
Has anyone seen or discussed this Petition for SHRM must support Black Lives Matter & the LGBTQ community? I’ve grown increasingly concerned and disappointed in SHRM’s lack of vocal support for employment protections for LGBTQ+ and black and brown workers, especially as a black woman in HR. It seems like SHRM is overly focused on what is absolutely “legal” and not what is right. I’m of the opinion HR professionals must not only be “legal” but have a relevant and compassionate stance
How many of you have food/drink stains on your lesson plan book or on student work, and crumbs in your keyboard, since you are eating and working at the same time? (Typed while I am eating! 😂😂😂)
With per diem coming down the pipeline for Deloitte fed/state... what’s your card of choice?
Are you required to come into your building? I'm teaching vitrtually, but 2 days a week I'm required to come into my classroom.
Anyone go from MBB/T2 to MBA school and do something OTHER than return to consulting / go for high finance? Curious what your return on making that decision is and if it’s ever worth going if you’re already in consulting. Seems like most non-Consulting or IB jobs you could just skip the MBA.
Had referral for BCG last year, but got rejected because of the hiring freeze. And now BCG is actively hiring! Can I reapply and secure an interview? Or do I really have to wait for the one year ban to pass
