ADVICE NEEDED: I just received a job offer in a new industry. An industry I’ve always wanted to try, but maybe not in the right practice. However, it’s not a bad offer and I’m scared it won’t come again. Do you think I should wait a few months and keep applying until I find a job that I am 100% happy to take without hesitation or does it usually never work that way? Thanks!
Is networking still key as an experienced hire? Networking was really helpful when I was applying to consulting as a student, because of the clear recruitment cycle most firms followed. Now that I’m looking to switch to industry, I’m looking at specific roles / depts at specific companies. Companies often seem to want to fill these roles quickly so no time to network, and on networking calls people can’t help as much if you are targeting a specific dept. any thoughts?
2 weeks back I was interviewed at TCS. In one video interview they have completed Salary discussion, HR round, Teach Round and Managerial round. But I didn't hear back from them😔😔😔. Interviewing for a consultant position in the DC area what salary range should I be asking for ?
Interviewing for a Deloitte risk advisory (IA) position and I’m really anxious. I have about 2.5 YOE at EY but I’m still nervous about answering questions incorrectly. What’s the best way to prep for interviews and what kind of questions can I expect them to ask me? I guess I’m not 100% confident since I still feel like I have a lot to learn about IA and internal control testing.
A partner submitted my resume to her firm’s recruiting department and I got called in for an interview. I’m researching the interviewers and one is the hiring attorney. Is that a good sign or routine? (I haven’t worked in big law to know.)
I have an interview with Deloitte coming up in the next couple of weeks... any insight, suggestions, case interview tips, or general comments to share? Thanks!

Folks who have been naturalized -- is it really necessary to bring printed copies of tax returns or evidence of your international trips to the interview? I've read about people bring several years worth of tax returns but nowhere does it say on USCIS.
I am interviewing for Deals Technology Director position at EY-P. Can anyone shed some light on the interview process and some useful tips? Thanks for your time!
Had my first interview this morning and the individual was wearing a mask. Kinda odd, but I guess this is the new norm.
How do you find the time to apply/interview? I’m working a burnout style project and desperately trying to find a new job but have no free time nor energy to prep 😭
NYC, rising 4th year, V5, M&A. In July, I got the call from the partnership that I should begin to “explore other options.” I always knew when I left, whether on my terms or not, I would exit to finance. It’s been a rough transition. Been pretty discouraged and hit a low point of shame & apathy in August. Just wanted to say that I finally landed my first formal PE and IB interviews this week and am beginning to feel hopeful again! I think it’s all gonna work out.
Anyone at MBB willing to refer? 7+ YOE (4 @ B4), focusing on CX & EX full-cycle projects from strategy to tech implementation to improvement with a JD/MBA.
I am in sixth year at a top firm in Toronto. I’m considering lateraling to another firm that does very similar work to what I’m currently doing, essentially because I strongly dislike the culture at my current firm. If you have lateraled for a culture-related issue, what do you wish you had asked before signing? Do you think there is a way to truly suss out culture before working somewhere? I have several law school classmates at this new firm so will obv ask them.
Deloitte 🐠 had my first round interview with the recruiter about a week back. She said she will get back to me with 2 days. Should I follow up now or it’s too soon.
Pulled an all nighter for the hell of it... has anyone ever done this? How did it affect your client work? Were you okay the next day?
Expected signing/relocation bonus for experienced associate moving from Chicago to NY for a big 4?
Is it even worth moving forward with interviews if the recruiter said “most people in this company don’t get paid what you’re expecting” after we discussed salary expectations?
We want to have a happy hour for this bowl on Wednesday - does anyone have a Zoom Pro or business account that is willing to share the love so we aren't capped at 40 min?! Want to see all of you!
EY is by no means perfect but the way they are handling the virus situation so far is admirable. The situation will continue to evolve and change things but hats off to the best Big 4 👏🏽
Hi, does one need to know how to swim to do scuba diving? I can float and swim on shallow side but not in deep end but I really want to get a beginners diving certification. Please advice
2 YOE at a big 4 150k base and stock for a product marketing job at a growing tech company that IPOed a few years ago (so not FAANG). Role is also 100% remote Not 100% sure I want to get into PMM though. Would you take this?
All else equal, what’s better for MBA story and application: M&A execution consulting or pure strategy consulting?
How are firms handling the economic downturn in terms of billable hour requirements for associates? Are annual billable requirements being updated or mitigated in any way? Curious to see how other firms are handling this issue, and also afraid of not being able to take any time off until 2021 😳
Ladies, do you think getting passed over for promotion due to maternity leave is fair? Obviously makes sense not to be promoted if performance is lacking. However, if you killed it for ~30 weeks cont.
Does anyone have a work culture that prioritizes WLB? Sometimes I feel like it's all talk for branding.
what actions will big4 take in the foreseeable future? EY will have a performance separation effect on 7/1. What else? Pay cut? Lay off? Or mandatory PTO?
Got interviewed in top companies through third party recruiters and now waiting for final decision & offer from all 3. But my goal is to get full time role which is hard due to my OPT status. Advice?
So if you get laid off what do you tell prospective employers when interviewing? Do you pretend you weren't laid off?
