Don’t feel bad about it OP. If you hadn’t applied and come to this realization you’d always wonder if you should have done it or not. It’s ok to see what else is out there

Thanks to both of you! I seriously feel awful and I liked the team so I regret wasting their time. I’m going to draft a nice declination letter and hopefully be more deliberate or careful in the future. Thanks guys!

Effort they went through, but I just wish u could go back in time and not apply which would have saved so much time and effort.

Say that you live in country A. You apply to a job in company X in country B (connecting with a director through LinkedIn). 4/5 days after a recruiter talks to you for a position in company X but in country A. You strongly prefer country B over A, so you state clearly to HR that you're willing to be part of the process only if you can also interview in B. You do not bring this up again and are in last round for X in country A. You have not heard back yet from B but prefer it. WWYD?
