Interviewed for in house job a couple weeks ago. They said they would provide an update in one to two weeks, but now two weeks have passed. Ok to follow up? Want to reiterate interest.

Yes. I'd mention your understanding of the current challenges and ask for an updated timeline

My company has frozen all hiring. I was interviewing at another F500 before this. They told me their hiring is frozen now too. I’d follow up ask about timeline in light of COVID. Unless it’s a critical hire they have probably put it on hold.

If you have just started a job search, get comfortable with the terms Ghosting and Roasting. Generally speaking, when a company or firm is interested in you, they will communicate frequently. Keep your communication open by following up, but move onto the next opportunity. When they are interested in you it is amazing how much they love you. If you get ghosted, don't take it personally. Their loss. And as others have suggested, the pandemic will interrupt the whole hiring process. Although, I have found the best jobs during a bad economy. Just keep at it.

Final round! Panel interview w an assignment to present some ideas on how to increase customers for 1 of 5 key audience segments.
I’m most familiar with 1 as it’s the audience I work with at current job. Not enough info/experience with other 2 segments. Remaining segments I know enough but not as confidently.

Will it look like I took the easy way out if I chose my segment? They know it’s my current audience and has been for 8 yrs. Would love to hear your thoughts!
