Interviewed four candidates and really like all 4. It’s going to suck to tell 3 of them that they’re not getting the job.

Anyone interview at or work for Veeva Systems?? I had an initial zoom call for their associate consultant role but met with an actual consultant (the recruiter was on vacation) and she gave me tips for the case study round and warned me hr is backed up and it may take about a week and a half for me to hear from them. Its been over two weeks now. Has anyone experienced their recruiting? Is this normal or should I give up? Thanks for any insight!!

Just a warning about all those postings for open roles at VMLY&R. They just laid a bunch of people off. Not sure why they're trying to hire, but I'd think twice before applying. Things aren't good here...

I have 5 YOE in Analytics... always thought I wanted to be a DS, but every job (even the junior ones) required experience in ML development. Though I am part of the ML project, I'm not the person develop the model. And I have a hard time when the interviewer ask about how I develop the model and what hyperparameters I tuned. I know the thought process and stuff but 'I' wasn't the one who did that part in the project. How to convince them that I could do the job without taking credit of others.

CTC: 7.5 lkh

Had few doubts :
1. How is work related to devops and cloud ?
2. Since the tavisca is taken over by JPMC , are all policies and benefits are now applicable to current tavisca employees ?
3.Also if someone can share about pay / bonus / salary structure ( i would discuss this with HR once i clear all rounds )

Would you join a company that was recently acquired by a private equity group, who also plans on selling the company soon? My initial concern is that the new acquirer could replace the (very small) legal team upon acquisition. But is that unlikely? I just put in my two weeks to go to an AM 100 law firm to work in a niche practice area. I've never worked in a firm before. I started of doing compliance (non-attorney role) and then went in-house (acting GC for medium size company got a year). Any advice for someone who never had firm experience? If you went back to a firm what do you think you would have to prepare for? (Besides billiable hours and no life. ) Also, fwiw, I graduate in 2018.

Does HR for in house positions really use law school GPA as criterion for mid level positions? I’m an 8th yr with relevant in house experience, but my law school grades don’t tell that story

Has anyone waived in to MN before as in house counsel? One of the requirements is actively practicing law for 36 of the last 60 months. I was in compliance for a number of years and am wondering if that will be a snag. I did perform legal functions but it mentions demonstrate evidence of and so I was just curious about any experience others may have had.

Made it to Amazon last round, and rejected. All I got was an email from the recruiter saying they didn't move forward. The team seemed great, and the turnover didn't seem terrible as everyone I interviewed with was there for 3 years or longer. It seemed like a great group doing good work. I'm crushed.
