Why does it seem so hard to get to the Senior Executive Service level in government? I see so many inexperienced people getting hired into SES and then m asking a mess of things but I can’t even get an interview. What is the secret that I am missing?

RANDOM :If a resource is allocated to a critical project with 4 months of KT as it's very complex.. and employee leaves within 2 months ( due to not liking company or tech doesn't fit ) .. then who is at loss ? Will the company do something to retain or let go ..what is alternative ?

Been 3 months since I joined Luxoft and I am assigned to a backward DXC project. The lead is oppressive and bossy. There is no work-life balance and 9:30 hours of work is not enough for them. As a manager, I check everything. I keep an eye on the deliverables as well as the staff and make sure everything gets done, correctly and timely. If you want to act rude, or passive aggressive. I will no longer work with you, on your shit client that will send the information a week before the deadline. When you end up with a manager that doesn’t look at anything, doesn’t care and leaves you with all the work, you will regret being rude to me. I put in an honest days work, I ask for respect.
