Interviewed with a huge company a few weeks ago. The recruiter gave me 24 hour heads up for each interview, which was pretty annoying but fine. I thanked her after each interview, at the end of the loop 2 weeks ago asked about next steps and then followed up AGAIN last week. I’ve received 0 responses each time and it’s REALLY frustrating after spending so much time interviewing and moving my schedule around. Do I follow up again? Do I express my disappointment in the form of light feedback?

Are you interviewing through an internal recruiter?

‼️

If an internal recruiter is scheduling interviews last minute and being unresponsive, I take it as a reflection of that company's internal culture.

Do you really want to work for a company like that?

This is how CNN polls work. Participants are interviewed days before the debate. 60% favored Biden and 40% favored Trump. Then, they poll the SAME PEOPLE after the debate and got nearly identical numbers on who “won” the debate.

I just finished what I thought was the final round of interviews for a job that I really want. Everything has been going extremely well. The recruiter just called to tell me that they want me to do one more round, though. This will make 8 interviews total, including a full case study presentation to 4 people. Should I be worried? Is this a red flag?

Any tips for navigating interviews when the reason I have to leave my firm is sensitive (I.e. legitimately the basis for a discrimination claim)? I am concerned about coming across as a problem or a flight risk, but am also concerned about saying too much about the situation, particularly until I can get out of this toxic work environment.

I am terrible at withholding salary information from recruiters. Yesterday a recruiter gave the line “I would hate for us to get to the end of the interview process only for it to turn out that we couldn’t give the salary you would need” so I panicked and threw out a number that was thirty percent higher than my current pay. He then told me the salary range which was way higher! Do you really just firmly repeat “I need to learn more about the team and benefits before I can assign a number?”

I applied for a Manager role. It is available for the 3rd time in almost 2 years. My 2nd interview with GM, AGM, and HRD started with them unanimously agreeing on my ability to do the job at a high level. They didn’t hire me because I wasn’t “an HR Cheerleader” and said I was more suitable for a “real HR Manage role”…. They then opened another specialist job and encouraged me to apply. Any insight on what to make of this?

Other companies are calling, but so far, I have turned everyone away. This is not a credential issue. I’m grad degreed and have multiple certifications.
