Interviewed with a non-F500 for their CorpDev team. Received the offer letter but it says "Business Development" instead. Should I be concerned? Or are these terms generally used interchangeably in the industry?

Biz Dev is closer to sales. I’d ask for clarification.

Suuuuureeee intern - like you've been in this industry long. Anyways, OP, not an issue it's interchangeable

likehelpful

It’s interchangeable. Anyone who actually works in corporate development knows this and they’ll know when you try to get a future role. I’ve seen a lot of titles like: Director of Business Development - M&A

like

It's not a big deal, used interchangeably. Congrats

like

Yes. Can be sales oriented in some and can include corp dev/m&a at others so not a big issue imo.

Use interchangeably

Yeah… ask for performance goals and see if they align to your expectations.

I’m currently on two live deals and have done 3 pitches so decent experience. I also have 6 months experience working in equity research at a BB firm. The group i’m in is a sweatshop with regular 4 am nights and am looking for a way out before I get trapped.

I recently changed jobs and my new 401K provider - Principal has very limited MF investment options. My prior employer’s 401K was managed by Fidelity and provided me access to a range of MF options. I believe that the fund options are negotiated by the employer and provider? Two questions. First - I have not rolled over my previous 401K to the new one. Would there be any problems. Second - is there a way I could move my current 401K to another (precious) provider?
