Interviewing and if an office doesn’t have standing desks by now, I can’t do it. Is that too bougee? Are there many big law firms that still don’t have this?

Just ask for a varidesk. It really shouldn't be a big deal.

Agree A1. I don’t like the varidesk topper. It makes the keyboard too high when sitting, and using one of the trays is annoying.

Are you guys really standing all day?

can I ask what desk you guys have and whether you recommend it? Figured might as well as get one with SA paychecks

Idk. I don’t think I could go back either

I haven’t seen most firms go to the full standing desk, which stinks because I have one at home and love it.

They usually outfit with the varidesk topper thing, which I hate.

Mine makes you pay for your own or show them
a doctors note that says you need one.

I understand you, I can’t work without a standing desk too

Based on the Zoom calls I’ve had, I don’t think DPW has the standing desks for all associates. Could’ve been a home office though.

DPW’s desks have a button to rise to standing

My understanding is that most firms (at least of a certain size) will provide with a doctors note which is easy to get.

I mean I guess I’ll say it: yes. You’re being pretentious.

I’ve got one at the office and an allowance to pay for mine at home. It definitely helps!

I jumped on a call with a candidate to debrief from his interview results I asked him how felt it went and if he enjoyed the interviews. After he shared with me his feedback I started to highlight the areas where he did poor and where he did great. But in the middle of it he cut me off and said, can we just address the elephant in the room, did I pass it or not?. His approach threw me off but I wanted to share with him but it seems like his disregard everything I had said. Anyone experienced it?
