If it’s a start up then you should lean on the fact that you bring with you the BCG network. So much of a startups success is based on relationships; VCs, More established companies, angels, media companies, etc. On all the above fronts BCGs network is a plus that they may want to leverage; plus that narrative will check the box of burnishing the BCG brand in their mind and showing a subset of the value you bring.
1) While funding is always welcome, business deals are also valuable. For many startups, getting in the door to even BEGIN the sales process is difficult. E.g., I had a classmate who had a really good idea, but had no beachhead clients to use as proof points. I made an intro to a former BCGer that led to them eventually closing a deal that gave them a leg to stand on with subsequent clients and investors. 2) If OP can’t sell a startup on BCGs network given its size and reach, the start-up life may not be for them. Turning “I don’t know x” into “Interesting, tell me more” is pretty much half the job 😂 2b) Prestige is the wrong thing to focus on; leads and reach are what matters here.
Mention your client base and the scope of work... “Boston consulting provides strategic consulting to global Fortune 500 companies... My efforts have primarily been focused on... Its given me the opportunity to develop my skillset in these areas.... I would like to leverage that within your company by.... Good luck if it’s meant to be it will💕💕💕

You can’t. To them you’re a consultant, and a consultant is a consultant. You’ll have to earn your spot on the strength of your performance instead.
Consulting is a joke to most people in tech

BCG isn’t a big deal to everyone. It seems like it on this app, but there are plenty of people who aren’t overly impressed with BCG. I’d definitely focus on your skills and what you bring to the table over trying to show them the status of your firm.
Give me a break. No one gives a crap you’re from BCG. Focus on kicking ass on the interviews not your “prestigious” firm.
I heard the BCG vaccine protects against COVID. Lead with that (kidding ;))
BCG great for bladder cancer too, if any of the founders need... don’t know how robust their health insurance is, but gotta bring all the ammo you got
Hate to break it to you, but few people outside of this app know about MBB. Rather than emphasising on the brand, it’d be helpful if you talk about the impact (both yours and the firms) in the space that you’re exiting to.
I honestly didn’t know of BCG or it’s ‘prestige’ until I got on this app. It sounded like a local small firm to me. I would just focus on your personal accomplishments instead of focusing on your firms accomplishments.

I’ve found most people know about McK even if they don’t know about BCG. So I tell them we compete for the same clients/work as McK-nice, polite way to contextualize
If someone explained it to me in that context it would give me the impression that BCG is below McK and this guy is reaching...
Must be tough when your entire identity is dependent on other people recognizing the name of the company who employs you

I don't mean to brag - it's a genuine question :)
The irony of this post is gold
