Keep in mind that if you stay, the people you work with will leave eventually, and then you’re still there with the same hours and probably the same client for a long while. Keep in touch with the colleagues you like at your current agency; it’s a small industry and chances are you’ll end up working with them again in the future!
If you have any hint that your client relationship is unstable and you truly believe that it is unfixable no matter how much effort you can personally throw into it, run away. Quickly. If you don’t leave now, you will find yourself out of a job shortly anyway when they lose the business and lay all of you off. And trust me: it is far easier to find a job when you already have one than it is to beg for one when you don’t.
Yeah, move on. I'm sure you're a good egg, but saving that account is above your paygrade. If you're sensing frustration at your level, I doubt it will end well.
Better to take a good opportunity now then wait for things to crumble and find yourself scrambling for a job.
Like AD1 said, stay in touch with current colleagues. Especially the ones you like. They may hit you up for a job soon. Referral bonuses are always nice.
What do you know about the same things at this other place so we can try to make some educated comparisons? And how likely are you to get an offer there? Also, what made you look/apply for another job?
I feel pretty confident in an offer (knock on wood). I am concerned about the client leaving where I currently am (pretty unhappy with us beyond the creative work) / they are just generally frustrating to work with. All my much more experienced coworkers say they are one of their worst clients in their careers (makes me think the grass is greener no matter what).
OP, got it. Still not sure though if your potential new gig is better either. I understand the current one is not looking good. But no info on the potential new one in order to offer advice. You should not just get any other job out of desperation if you don't want to. It is possible to get yourself into a worse situation. No idea, but if you can, tell us more about the job, client and people at the place where you are interviewing. What about that is making you nervous and unsure how to decide?
