I would make it clear that would be a deal breaker before wasting anymore time interviewing. If the recruiter is saying that 3 days in the office that is either an office wide requirement or something the hiring manager requested.
Was this in the job description?
Everything is negotiable once you get the offer :). That being said they may not give you exactly what you want.
But potentially more money, pay for moving, etc if you’re willing to negotiate
Agree with KPMG 1 check the job description. Sadly many of the big companies want you back I. The office,
Get the offer, show it to Amazon and see if they will match it to keep you.
In that case, I would probably look for job postings for positions closer to where you live or offer fully remote as well. I haven’t known companies to be lenient if they require in office time. If anything, 3x a week is probably a minimum and they would actually pressure you for more.
I doubt they’d make an exception for you since they’ve already made it clear this is the policy. It’s so dumb to require in-person work at this stage of the game anyways. I wouldn’t want to work for a company with a regressive mindset. Do you?

Ive heard you need to apply for an exception, and need to be approved once in
Agreed. Be clear up front.
