Interviewing for a security assurance analyst position with Twilio and some of the stuff I’ve been reading makes me nervous. Any Twilio people here that can speak to overall company culture and work/life balance?

The pace is fast and the bar is high. That said, there is a big emphasis on balance. Everyone respects your life outside of work and we have small things like no-meeting Fridays.

If you’re having trouble or second thoughts - reach out to the recruiter you’re working with when I went through the process they helped me out and set me up with other people (outside of the process) to talk to.

Just an example: I left mid day during a huge project to go to my kid’s parent teacher conference. No questions asked and was told to have a good weekend.

You will be busy, but when you need focus time or time away to take care of life - you’ll have the support.

Been at twilio for less than a year but it's the best place I've ever worked. Culture is great though there are issues due to massive employee growth over the last few years but overall it's great. Security is of utmost importance in this space so I'd imagine there may be some pressure but I'd imagine less than at a smaller company. Everyone I've met here has been super helpful all while being remote.

At the end of the day I think you should trust the feeling you’re getting from the interview process. I’m connected with a few people on LinkedIn who work there and seem to really enjoy it. I’m sure experience varies from person to person but it’s definitely possible to have a positive experience.

I think that’s a good perspective. I’m just going to do my best to be thoughtful with my questions and get the answers I need to make a good decision.

Haven't heard anything too terrible. Just that it can be a bit fast paced over there thats all.

I have a connection that only worked there for 9 months (quit two weeks ago) - just said the company culture wasn’t a good fit (I know that’s vague)

I think Twilio is one of those company cultures in which a person is either going to thrive or be miserable. I would ask questions and try to get a sense of it during the interviews.

It's a growing company so there will be pressure. But I am sure there will be support when needed. Did you end up taking the offer?

Seriously considering a move to NYC. Any counselors in the area? Wanting a bit of insight into the hiring process! I hear it’s very competitive, but I wanna get a feel for if that means “basically impossible” or “it might take a bit longer than you think.”

Background: It’s my 3rd year as an elementary school counselor and I’d like to stick with elementary or middle. I have friends and family in NYC and Long Island and I’m looking for a change of scenery (and a pay increase, tbh).

Hi Fishes, need your suggestions, my profile was shortlisted for a position and a new CID was created on the Accenture careers page on 29th July. The recruiter took my profile from a job portal. They haven't scheduled an interview yet, but I see a section to upload to all my documents on the portal (on the right it says To do pending with me). Even without scheduling interviews do you update PAN, payslips etc., ? I'm confused

Any UK in-house lawyers care to offer their perspective? I’m in private practice (corporate). Recently felt quite fed up and I was approached about an in house position. I recently had an interview and it was hard work! I was perhaps naive but I was quite surprised by how intense it was. I’ve worked at several law firms and had several interviews. Yes, they can be tough but I never felt like the interviewers were combative (which is how I felt in the in-house interview).

Hey, another question for y’all. How should I reach out to a recruiter who offered me a full time position but I rejected for a better offer? At the time I was offered the position my main concern was lack of guidance/support from leadership. Now, a year later I have experience being in a role with limited over site (not as scary as I initially thought it would be) and feel confident I would excel in the role I rejected. How would you approach this situation? Thanks in advance!!
