I didn’t even know we had a public sector practice. But I would assume equal or slightly lower base than Big 4 but variable bonus tied to your utilization ultimately resulting in higher TC on average. But most likely nothing like our NACR, PEPI, or TAG (transactions), which pretty much pay like 1-1.5 levels above Big 4 counterparts.

SD is right below MD, our partner/principal equivalent. Many stay as SD for 3 years or more before there’s a business case to move up. You would have to prove that you can bring in the business. Your TC will probably have some referral bonus tied to bringing in businesses also actually given the title seniority and sales expectations.

What would you do, if an old contact (haven’t talked to in 3+ years) reached out to you asking for a referral, but you personally think they are not a good fit for the company’s culture?

We worked briefly together before and he left a bad taste in everyone’s mouth. This person is not a team player & always tried to get ahead at the expense of others. The role he’s asking for referral is directly on my team and I don’t want to tarnish my rep by referring him, but don’t know how to decline.

Hi Everyone

I am holding an offer from EY GDS (Mergers and Acquisitions) team. Offer is for 18.5 lpa + Bonus.

I also have an offer from Ocrolus ( a US based fintech startup). Startup is paying 23 lpa + 1 lac joining bonus + esops worth 6k dollars.

I am confused which one should I take? EY role is into Strategy and Transactions whereas startup role is more into operations management for a support function. Any suggestions / thoughts?

Benefits question for EY folks: I’m starting in two weeks and was looking at the Alex tool for health insurance options. Does neither the Select nor the Premier insurance options offer copays? The Alex tool makes it seem like you pay everything out of pocket until you hit your deductible ($1k or $600 respectively) and only after that is when copays/coinsurance kicks in?
