Interviewing with a MF and I was wondering if anyone knew how many interviews tended to be standard in PE recruiting? I’ve done so many with one firm- when can i expect it will end and at this point what are my chances- do they give a lot of people many interviews?

I'm currently a civil design engineer, and trying to switch to real estate as a Program Manager. I have an interview in a week where they tell me I will have to work on ( for about 3-4 hours ) on an operational case study.

The job is located in Paris and the job is in French .

Does anyone here have any case studies in Real estate that they can share ? and if they're from France, that would be even better.

I am currently interviewing for remote jobs. I need to take at least 3 days of vacation in September and work from Hawaii (I live on mainland USA) for a few weeks+ in October - where I would need to work shifted hours. At what point in the morning interview process should I let a company know? No one has asked “do you have upcoming vacation plans?” Or anything like that yet.

Hi everyone- any suggestions for interview prep guides for PE Ops roles?

I’m currently interviewing for a hybrid Jr UX Designer role for a fragrance company. The compensation is between 70-80k. I searched the market rate in NYC and the salaries are between 103-120k. I assume this is based on the company, industry, and experience. I have a graphic design background with 10 years experience and have a springboard certification for UX. I don’t want to get low balled as I have been in the past. Is it unreasonable to ask for what’s market value when it’s a team of 5?

First trimester insomnia?
I’m only about 5 weeks, but my sleep schedule has gone off the rail the last three nights. I’m sleepy/drowsy, settled in bed around the same time every night, and yet I cannot fall or stay asleep. I have a white noise machine, comfy bed, cool room.. etc. When I do fall asleep, it’s earlier in the morning and I sleep until 1/1:30pm. This was fine the first few nights since it was the weekend, but it can’t keep up. Anyone else experience this and have any recommendations?

Do you get a promotion as per normal cycle or do you have to apply to be promoted, and solve a case study and present to a panel as part of it. I’ve been told if I want to get promoted I should apply to a job that my team just posted, but I don’t understand why they would need me to solve a case and present to prove my capabilities ? They have two years of data on me and my performance anyway and prior to this job posting they had been saying I would get promoted before eoy 2021.

Would you leave your current PE firm for a more prestigious that pays $100k-150k more but you are working 20-30 hours more? Currently at a firm where I see a long term path and I work 40-50 hours. I’ve been starting to interview at some buyout and secondary firms, but at the recommendation of my manager, have been entertaining the idea of going to IR. Has anyone here broken into PE out of Strategy&?

Stupid question. In the H&S salary report, are the splits by size of the fund based on the fund itself or the PE firm? For example, Blackstone has 800b+ aum but any specific fund within Blackstone manages something less like let’s say it’s a $30b fund or a new fund that’s only raised $2b so far? Would the salary report be based on the company level aum or the specific fund (even if it’s a brand new fund that hasn’t raised much within a larger firm)? My guess is the latter or somewhere between.

Golden Gate Capital, Sycamore, or Charlesbank? I am far along with all 3 and am wondering how people would stack them up in terms of brand, b-school exits, and culture/hours?

What kind of multiples is used by buyout and growth equity investors (e.g., Hg Capital, Summit Partners, TA Associates) to value SaaS companies? Do they only rely on EBITDA multiples or use ARR/revenue multiples as well?
