be yourself and remember interviews are two way streets. You should interview them as much as they interview you. I never planned to join KPMG but their interviews and interviewers were so wonderful, so I decided to take a chance. Good luck!!

Just be yourself. I used to do a lot of interviews for consulting roles and I could always tell when a candidate was trying to say things that they think we want to hear "to stand out" I just want to see if you'd be a fun person to work with! Throw in some personal stories and your passions and don't stress. It's cliche but you are the best at being you!

I have an interview next week and want to vet the new law firm with questions to determine if there’s a good work-life balance, respect for how work is delegated (i.e., attorneys are not routinely asked to do obvious paralegal work), and what overall systems/structures are in place to make it a functional/successful environment. What sorts of questions do you think would get this info and also cut through the usual bs of “we’re a family here” when in reality no one talks to each other?

Big Law associates: Do you see a trend of intense “great resignation” recently? 5 people I know (a 3rd year at WilmerHale, a 7th year at Latham, a 5th year at Latham (same office, same practice), another 7th year at Latham (different office, different practice), a 6th year at MoFo) all quit in Feb. or early March. None of them lateraled (yet) and at least one of them does not plan to practice law anymore. I thought it was about Latham or this practice group before learning about the other two.
