I’d say Austin. The city is growing and if you find good tenants, then you’d have a good passive cash flow.
I’d buy two 1 bed 1 baths in Austin. Or a duplex. Want to capitalize on growth op in Austin but not compete w people who would rather just buy a home (aka most ppl looking for a 3 bed+)
I would imagine with maintenance the cap rate is really low on the JC place no?
It depends - both are going to be high appreciation markets but potentially not the best for cash flow (high property taxes). If you are okay with breakeven or even a slight negative cash flow in return for the appreciation, then I say go for it. Idk about NJ, but the rental market in Austin is not so great as most people can buy
