I’m new to the firm. My third project my manager was very hands off. He’s wants to have a discussion with me about my performance. He did not give me any support to work with; even when I asked! And my direct manager agrees with him, but it was my third week. What to do? I feel like I’m going to say something crazy. Any advice?
Trump confessed to Bob Woodward about the lethal danger of COVID in February. 7 full months later, he has a lead adviser in place with no infectious disease expertise.
Would you move from D to other Big 4 with only 20k raise (115 -> 135k)? Assuming you need to restart GC process from scratch a year after joining

Parents turn 70 next year. I’m trying to figure out what to expect, how to prepare for retirement, etc. Any suggestions? Feeling overwhelmed, not sure where to start. They live in India while I’m in Canada and no chance of bringing them over right away ( will take 3 years or so, based on visa timelines). They are mobile right now but we had a bad scare where dad was hospitalized overnight and I can see that they need someone for these once a year events ( which will probably get more frequent).
Significant other is active duty marine corps and while I have 10 years of experience, having a tough time “making the right moves” to climb the ranks in consulting due to needing to (or at least needing to be available to) relocate every few years. Anyone willing to chat? Looking to get into MBB if possible. Prior big 4 exp and worked across human capital, tech, and some S&O. Super hard working and quick learner. Understanding there are so many factors that can impact this..... I wanted to take a little survey to see how long people interviewed before landing their most recent job. Could you include YOE at time of application, year you applied, how many (approximate) applications you submitted?
Applying for a manager role in advisory at Grant Thornton in a HCOL, 10 YOE. What should total comp look like? Additionally, does Grant Thornton offer relocation bonuses? And if so, how much?
Have any 🐠 here left S& for MBB at the post-MBA level? I’d like to talk through the differences and adjustments in ways of working you had to make after the jump
Let's talk about Christmas bonuses: Should you be penalized for leaving your firm in your bonus if you've generated significant amounts for the firm? Is that common practice? Disgruntled associate. 😂
Looking at moving to Raleigh. Fed law clerk who also clerked in state court (NJ). Curious as to the potential salaries and benefits for a third-year associate and what is/isn’t negotiable.
Good news for everyone no matter where you are politically: New research indicates COVID immunity could last more than a year, especially after vaccination.
I have an offer with one of the Big 4 and H1 transfer is also approved. I will be joining in two weeks( delayed by a month). Now I got an offer from a small company which I am interested, with similar pay(No travel, better WLB). Is it wise, not the join the Big 4 ? Will they black list me forever, given that they already spent money on my H1B process.
To all fishes that went from T2 to MBB - did you notice a big difference in quality, standards, people worked with, or anything else? Trying to understand why MBB is MBB beyond name-brand and prestige.
I have never switched jobs. What should be my steps to switch to other big 4, acn or IBM? Also I don't have one single competency specialization as I dabbled in different projects over time
So I’ve gotten the AmEx Platinum offer for 150K bonus points (Gold for 75K). I have another corporate card so the annual fee is $550. Even without considering the statement credits, centurion lounge, etc… it’s worth it for the bonus alone right? Like 150K points > $550, and I get the perks as free benefit. I’d plan to downgrade in 1 year. Any thoughts?
