Just started working in-house within the last couple of months. First real attorney gig after doing compliance. The GC was terminated and I had to fill in the role as GC (even though that’s not what I’m called). My company says they don’t need a GC. Talked to my boss today and they want to hire another to take things off my plate since I am the only attorney. They plan to rewrite my job position to do more risk and compliance. Question for people in forensic field - Is there a reason why many forensic roles prefer people who can speak multiple languages? I mean I understand that there are international arbitration type of work, but is that all? How would your language skill benefit you in these roles? Appreciate your inputs.
