With current home prices/rates it’d be very difficult to be comfortable in Denver at $120k. If you’re looking to rent I think the value proposition changes. To save up a down payment, and keep housing below 28% of income. Good luck
Will be some nuance depending on the role but in a general sense yes
Yes, vast majority of folks in Denver make less than that
Single, no dependants yes. No dual income yes.
I forget who published it. But they just had an article out that, a 80K approx salary is what is needed to afford rent in Denver and a sustainable lifestyle. You can afford a home, that's a fixer upper at 120K with the given rates too rn imo, depends on debt too

I make $120K. Single, no kids. I pay $2K for rent & still have student loans ($300 per month) and it’s overall a very comfortable lifestyle. I can afford all the “fun” things I want to do within reason, like ski trips, drinks with friends, gym memberships, etc.
Also factor in that you will need a vehicle, preferably one with AWD / 4WD if you plan to visit the mountains. If you want to save money live with roommates (I did until last year).
120k is decent even in VHCOL. I was making 100k and living decently in a $2500 1bd apartment in California. Two international vacations, 1 domestic vacation a year.
A lot of middle class people stay broke with car payments. I have a used car I paid for in cash, $70 a month in car insurance.
It’s decent to live comfortably, that’s for sure.
Yea as other stating average one bedroom rent is $2k so it just depends on your personal financial situation.
Also what I’ve learned Colorado is full of weekend adventures/ trips - you just have to budget in hobbies and toys. I typically don’t eat out
For what kind of job? Do you have to support anyone but yourself? Do you have debt? Do you want to live centrally, or are outlying neighborhoods good? Will you have to commute to your job? How far?
