Has anyone moved from Accenture Federal to CGI Federal at Manager/Senior Manager level? Looking at Strategy/Organizational Change Management roles, and curious to know if you feel that compensation and benefits were worth it when measured against your actual experience once you started working with CGI. (I understand that some of it depends on the account you're on, the team you have, etc., just trying to decide if it's worth considering.) Thanks!

Hi guys,
I am currently on notice period and my LWD is Sep 2, 2022. Today, I got an offer from state street mentioning my joining date as Sep 12, 2022 even though I already told HR that I would like to join from Sep 5 itself. How can I convince HR to prepone my joining date to Sep 5, 2022. I don't want to lose my one week salary guys. Pls suggest. State Street

Hi Everyone,
Was hoping to get a hand or advice. I had submitted an application the Travelers for a marketing position in early November, resume shows received but nothing else. Is there someone that works there that could direct me to a HR email or contact person? Have had nothing but a positive experience working with Travelers in my last two roles as an agent and then an underwriter would love to have to the opportunity to work directly with Travelers. Not sure by âgood enoughâ unless you means can you live here on that. Answer is yes but also depends on your goals (like if you want to save 50% and follow FIRE), or just want to save 10% and live comfortably.
Also depends if you want to have roommates and where you want to live.
I pay $3500/month for a house 4 bedrooms in austin. Downtown 2 bedroom apartments I think were like 3k/month and 1-1.2k sq ft. Cheaper for a 1 bedroom or studio. Some person I met said they paid like 1650 on a 15 month lease at the domain signed in January.
So there is a range of options. Itâs a pricy city and very fun. If you want party near west 6th youâll spend a lot on Ubers if you donât live near there and a lot on drinks unless you let men buy you drinks (since youâre female). Events can add up but again itâs a fun city.
So 130k is good money to enjoy the city. Depending what youâre willing to tolerate or live will depend what you pay but you can make it work if you want.
Not sure what other options you have in the table to compare against though.
Sure, message away
Tech consulting is the easiest way to get Rich Omg. You hardly do any complex coding\programming and get paid programmer salary
They go hand in hand. I still believe W2 income wonât make you rich or wealthy. You might feel rich⊠but you arenât on 200-500k/year.
Not sure why the single or female part is relevant to compensation đ
can you elaborate C1?
Barely a living wage in Austin
Yeah solid points C1 but still- 130k in Austin will be living very comfortably with plenty to save (given lifestyle habits and possible debt)
I make $76500 base and live in a modest (no amenities except pool) 1 br apartment on west 6th and I never really worry about finances. This is also with a $1000+ student loan payment lol
Thanks for the perspective!
Pretty good offer for a non technical role in Austin
Youâll be living super comfortably off that
Yes.
Yes
That depends on your experience, industry, and the firm youâre joining. Without any additional information itâs hard to say.
This is really good pay for an SFA with 3 YOE. My friends are SFAs with 2 YOE in Charlotte for 95k TC
How are the hours? I heard itâs an absolute sweatshop for the developers.
Im in Finance đŹ, but hear good WLB
Really not sure why the âfemaleâ portion was necessary for evaluation? If you were a âmaleâ would it change anything? The pay should depend on your experience, competency and market rate. Whether the pay is sufficient or not will be determine by your life styleâŠ
It wasnât necessarily about if I am being compensated fairly more so if other females have input as we might have a closer lifestyle than a man, but it is wasnât that important. Just added more info⊠my fault lmao
pretty good offer for a single person
Yes thars great for 3 YOE. Living in the city is expensive, though
Around the same amount at 3.5 YOE - have enough for a car payment, 1780 in rent and some spending money. Youâre fine.
