Did my taxes today and owe a whopping $7k just from income. Apparently my wife’s employer didn’t hold enough taxes (my w2 was fine). How can I make sure that doesn’t happen again?

Two books you should read are “The New Trading for a Livinng” and “The Laws of Trading.” Both look at psychology, process, and risk in different ways that can help you work out your own process. I have an offer to a commercial real estate company in hand. My current brokerage (residential focus) wants me to pay $3000 penalty since I’m breaking the contract and leaving. I’m financially struggling and 3k is a big number to pay now. The new job will be paying me $2000/month up until the first year only. Is it wise to pay or stick around in residential sales just to avoid that penalty?
