Best cards in Canada for points?
Recently Store Managers have been offering me jobs from different locations but same company in my town. The company is T-Mobile. It’s going to be my first job. I have a couple questions for any former/current employees. Is it better to work for T-Mobile, metro by T-Mobile, or a third party T-Mobile? Any difference in benefits or wage? Thanks

Hi Everyone,
I just received an offer to work as an software sales representative (SDR) for IBMs Z systems. I'm coming as a sales engineer in the cloud security space. Can anyone advise me on whether Z systems are something worth going into? Also what do the growth opportunities look like at IBM? Is there opportunity for lateral movement onto other teams? Not too sure how I feel about working on mainframes (Z systems) but they keep pitching hybrid cloud to me. IBM

Nope! pump it!
Not having an emergency fund or ability to fund your basic COL is too much. The rest is good to go wherever you want to save it.
401k max is 19.5k..
20% will take you over the limit and the payroll company will stop deducting 401k money around November..
Check with your HR on what happens to company match if you reach your max before 31 December.
Are you contributing so much that you have no money to live off? If not, it is not too much. You could lower it if you wanted to contribute to IRA or HSA but can’t because too much is going to 401k

Max that shit. 19,5

Depends on what 20% of your income is, what your income is, what your minimum needed expenses are.
There is a deferral limit for 401(k) plans ($19,500 in 2021; increases to $26,000 if you are 50 and above). You should look into what your plan allows when your contributions are above the threshold.
Max out your 401k up to annual IRS allowance- if you are putting 20% of your income that means to me you are in a lower tax bracket - I would also put money into Roth IRA up to annual contribution limit. Of course we don’t know what’s your income and monthly expenses but if you have enough to support your life, then start saving as low as $50 a month. If you are planning to build wealth, look into some cash value life insurances as well.

DO NOT get cash value life insurance
Isn’t there a contribution threshold? are usually match what my employer will give me and then I’ll put the rest of the money in my personal investment account.
I like to have the liquidity
Nah, fill that sucker up!
I do 50% to max in 3 months. 50% is my company limit. Once I hit the IRS contribution limit it stops.
At 26 I’d say try to put in as much as you can even if you don’t hit the limit. I started at 30ish and wished I’d started earlier but then again I luckily just about missed the 2007/8 crash by starting later
It means you need to get paid more if you need 20% to hit the contribution limit

As long as you max it out, % doesn’t matter.. it can be 10% or 20% or more
