Is 4 week studying full time doable for FAR? I currently have Becker but thinking if I should supplement with Ninja MCQ & SIMS for the review process?

Yes absolutely. Generally I would say it takes about 1.5-2 months for FAR. Studying full time you’d be able to get it out in 4 weeks. Just remember to take a day off here and there but don’t let it catch up. Finish the lectures etc in about 3 weeks and spend the final week doing multiple choice questions like all day everyday. Take one practice exam and based on your score you’ll know if you’ll pass.

What was your study technique?! And what topics do you think you should 10000% know for the exam?

I’m doing the same using Becker. Hoping it’s enough.

I'm with you and Tax Senior 1; 4 weeks for FAR (Becker). I'm planning half a chapter a day, with around a week for review. I just took audit with a similar style this Sunday, so I feel good (at least in terms of study style).

like

I am but only for two weeks for a virtual internship.

If I was a regular salaried professional I'd bump my timeline to 6 weeks, aiming for 2 chapters a week instead of 3. I would advise against anything longer than 6 weeks, you'll forget stuff so fast with a super long time horizon!

What is your study technique?! My goal was to study for FAR within 4 weeks but I have barely made a dent I feel like and I study for almost 12 hours a day! I’m only in F3 using Becker. Please help!! Lol not sure if I’m doing too much and it’s taking me way longer than necessary. I was able to study for AUD in 3 weeks and passed with an 83, but the material was much quicker to go through than FAR and I’m starting to feel helpless because I wanted to take it next week but I’m not even halfway through the material 🙃

Thank you so much!!!

Yes it’s possible. I studied only using the final review the week of. If I’m still confused, I do a couple more in the regular course. But I barely passed so it’s a risk.

I'm considering making the move from Industry into Consulting. I have 10 YOE, healthcare (payor).

For anyone that has moved from industry to consulting- Any words of advice/recommendations on the transition? Would you do it again?

Long shot but asking anyway: has anyone in here successfully moved into a European practice from the UK (as a non-EU citizen) post brexit either changing firms or as an internal transfer?

Is it possible? If so, how was the bureaucracy? Any regrets?

I am thinking of exploring this as the UK is becoming slowly more frustrating to live in. I speak fluent English, French and German and have a masters in European Political Economy as well as 3 YOE as a consultant so am not a complete chancer.
